Republican Convention – Update Friday PM

The convention was called to order around 2:00 PM and the opening formalities were very well done. The main concern for the day was a proposed change to the convention rules to allow all candidates a number of additional speakers. The proposal would have added several hours to the length of the Saturday session and [...]

Obama Apology Tour Failed

It is time to commit to funding our military and move back to the tried and true methods of being respected: earn it. Weakness under Clinton was rewarded with six attacks, and the 9/11 attack was planned during the Clinton presidency. When the terrorists smell weakness, they move in.

Closing Guantanamo Will Cost Obama His Job

Any terrorist act executed by a former Gitmo detainee released in the US will be squarely on Obama. Even a robbery, rape or murder will be blamed on the president for releasing the terrorists. A simple car accident causing a death will cause a firestorm of TV and internet ads that will dwarf the Willie Horton ads that sunk Michael Dukakis, to say nothing of actual terrorist activity committed by a released terrorist.

Democrats: Party of Hate? (Part 2)

As a follow up to that story, it should be stated that not all Democrats attack those who do not agree with them in such an insidious and despicable manner. But I have noticed that there are no voices on the left making any attempt at all to put a stop to this type of hate mongering.

Poll: Most Americans Pro-Life

A new Gallup poll shows a stunning turn around in public opinion on abortion. The poll, taken May 7 – 10, 2009 shows that 51% of Americans are now Pro-Life and only 42% are Pro-Choice. The main reason for the dramatic shift appears to be a backlash against the actions of President Obama. This trend is a complete repudiation of those who believe like Colin Powell that the Republican Party should reject the conservative principals that are the cornerstone of the party.

Democrats: Party of Hate?

For years, Democrats and their lap dogs in the media have gone out of their way to demonize anything Conservative or Republican. Mean spirited Republicans were chastised on a daily basis. Conservatives are mean because they want welfare recipients to go back to work. Mean because they favor the life of a baby over the [...]

Water Boarding Revisited

On the water boarding issue, Behar tried the now standard liberal line “since you favor water boarding, would you like to be water boarded”. Ann’s response was, no. But since you are in favor of abortion, would you like to be aborted? I doubt Behar will be asking that question again.

Are Republicans in Disarray?

“Who is the leader of the Republican party” is a favorite question. This allows them to bring up Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, and anyone else they are convinced is an idiot. My favorite response is “Who was the leader of the Democrats from 2000 until 2008″? Gore? Kerry? So why do you think the Republicans should be different from the Democrats? Perhaps at this very moment the next Republican president is a community organizer (but I wouldn’t bet on that).

Mark Twain Said:

In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce and brave man, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
