New York City is pretty much out. Fears of terror strikes during the trial would make this far too risky. However, President Obama still demands we hold trial in a civilian court and grant them the rights our friends and fathers (and mothers) fought for. This is totally absurd.
Here’s an idea. Hold court at the Sidwell Friend’s School, where Obama’s children attend classes. Hold the trial while school is in session.
Perhaps then you will understand the danger in which you place those of us that must work and carry on our lives around your unnecessary circus.
Either share the risk, or don’t take it with our lives. Military Tribunals are set up to deal with these things. Use them!

The Liberal Media spends so much time and effort attempting to marginalize the Patriotic efforts of those of us who have had enough of the monster we have been feeding called Big Government that they can’t see the forest for the trees. The “In the Tank” Media, or “Tankers” as they are called, truly have no idea who members of the Tea Party really are. Oh, they have high hopes that the Tea Party will become a third party and siphon votes away from Republicans. But those that believe that truly do not understand the movement at all.
What are Tea Party Republicans?
I, your humble citizen correspondent – (A.K.A. Blogger) identify myself as a member of both the Tea Party movement and the Republican Party. These are not mutually exclusive groups. Not either / or. A large number of the active members of the Tea Party are also active members of the Republican Party.
So the Tea Party ARE Republicans after all!
Some are. Some are not. There are a lot of Tea Party folks that are Ron Paul followers. Libertarians. Some are Democrats who regret where their party is going, and many are independents. Believe it or not, some Tea Party members consider the Republican Party and the Democrat Party as two wings of the Socialist Party with the ultimate goal of bigger government. Many are offended you call them Republicans and openly despise the failed Republican leadership that got us to where we are today. To them, the Republican Party is beyond hope. Beyond salvation.
So the Tea Party IS positioning to be a third party?
Well, the jury is still out on that one. Some say we need a third party, that the two party system is not working. And they are not wrong. Both parties are leading us into the mouth of repression and loss of freedom. The Democrats are simply on a faster track to the same destination.
The Tea Party movement is presently in flux.
The influence that the Tea Party has had on the Republican Party is enormous. The Tea Party awakened a sleeping giant and the resurgence of the Conservative movement is strong. Both within the Republican Party and without. The Republican Party has seen a revival of it’s soul. Some genuine, some in fear of their elected position, with the latter on the short list to retirement.
So what is the answer?
It is hard to deny the influence in terms of direction the Tea Party movement has had on the Republican Party. Some are, and have been, Tea Party people at heart forever. Others now see the light. The key is a return to the emphasis on State and Local government as the most important participant in self governance. The real power must be returned locally where the people can keep a close eye on what is happening to them and their money. Any politician that does not agree with this most basic principal on which this country was founded has no business representing the people. And they must be purged.
At this point, the Tea Party movement serves the people best by exerting their considerable influence, grass roots efforts and support behind the candidate that has BOTH the best chance to win AND the closest adherence to the principals on which this country was founded. In some cases, fielding a Tea Party candidate may be the best answer. But in most cases, the answer will be to push strong Tea Party Republican candidates during primaries, and a full on grass roots effort to see that they win the election.
While the idea of a third party is enticing, in the near term it is a certain path to bigger government and repression by the “Progressive” Socialists that have taken over the Democratic Party. We simply do not have the decade or decades it will take to establish a viable third party. In the meantime, the Tea Party would serve to splits votes and will hand the Socialists the reins of government and the keys to Washington. We have jumped over the cliff already and must do something immediately to salvage what is left of our country. President Obama, Pelosi and Reid have mapped out a path to America’s destruction. They are a clear and present danger to our liberty.
In the end, a Tea Party Party will spell the demise of the Republican Party before the Tea Party can rise to viability. And a return to a two party system is inevitable. All that changes is the name of the second party. It is far more expedient to bring the Republican Party to the Founding Father’s vision than to start over.
Many of us are already there, and we have work to do.

Al, Tipper and Al III Gore at Climate Change Convention
As the world looks into the fraud and deceit that was attempted to be thrust on the world by a handful of greedy scientists looking for their next grant, we are happy to report that a new and growing group has decided to join the dwindling consensus.
The Climate Change group welcomes the Cave Dwelling Terrorist’s Network to the true believers of climate change.
The groups leader, Usama Bin Laden, said today
“We now realize that the agenda of the IPCC and Climate Change activists are very much in line with ours. The total destruction of the United States will be accomplished far faster with the Cap and Trade legislation than with one million jumbo jets.”
In exchange for their addition to the “consensus” on Climate Change, Al Gore has agreed to wear a burka from now on.
Gore said “A burka is a small concession when you consider the significance of the Nation of Cave Dwellers endorsement of our project. And I will save a fortune in hair pieces. It is ironic how close we have been to the same goal all along and never realized it. You know, I invented the burka. My bad rugs and their magic carpets will make quite a team.”
Climate-gate central fraudmaster was reportedly moving additional temperature collection stations closer to the equator and was not available for comment.
In a related development, President Obama pledged his commitment to the groups, but there is quite a bit of argument surrounding whether Obama will hurt or help the cause.

Ha! Censorship does backfire!
James O’Keefe, the filmmaker who pretended to be a pimp and exposed Acorn for the corrupt and despicable organization that they are may have gone a bridge too far.
He and some friends visited the offices of Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu and attempted to get jiggy with her phones. Landrieu is a US Senator and no matter how you feel about her taking a $300 Million bribe for her Health Care Reform vote, that’s some serious bad Mojo he attempted to perpetrate on the US Senate’s very own version of a Cajun Marie Laveau.
Voudou bad!
But I find the most interesting aspect of this case is that Olbermann and Matthews along with all the other lefty media that ignored the Acorn scandal now find themselves with a story that they would so love to rub in Conservative’s faces, but the fact that they ignored the Acorn story makes it hard to crow about this hated Filmmaker’s fall over the edge.
What can they say?
“The Conservative filmmaker who exposed the fraud at Acorn which we totally ignored …”
If only they had actually reported the news they could have a field day with this.

Drunken Sot Pelosi
To paraphrase the old Jethro Tull song
Aqualung, “You poor old sot, you see it’s only taxpayer money”.
But it does explain a lot. Can someone examine her Health Care bills and see how much Medical Marijuana us taxpayers paid for?
Let them eat cake seems an understatement. A girl’s gotta drink, right? Perhaps taxpayer funded booze is simply more addictive.
From World Net Daily:
It reads like a dream order for some wild frat party: Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey … and Corona beer.
But that single receipt makes up just part of the more than $101,000 taxpayers paid for “in-flight services” – including food and liquor, for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trips on Air Force jets over the last two years. That’s almost $1,000 per week.
Documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch, which investigates and prosecutes government corruption, show that the Pelosi incurred expenses of some $2.1 million for her use of Air Force jets for travel over that time.

Speech to nowhere
Most of us had already lowered our expectations. We gave President Obama a chance. Oh, there was criticism, and rightly so. This is a president that the instant he took the wheel of the Ship of State, turned her hard to port. (That’s left for the nautically uninitiated.)
Small corrections. That’s the only way to turn a large ship. And in his first year he attempted to over correct. And as happens when you over correct, disaster often occurs.
Recent elections in Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts were the results of this abrupt turn to the left.
Did the president or his party hear the warnings? Who knows. In the State of the Union Speech he claimed he did not turn the wheel hard enough. Full speed left and full denial.
Blame Bush, blame the Republicans, but he sees nothing in his radical agenda that needs changing except more speed.
Totally astonishing!
At this point, the remaining (and growing) sane citizens of the United States have no choice but to force a correction in November, 2010. And to fight with every fiber of our beings to oust the Progressive Socialists who wish to do irreparable harm to this country back into the bowels of the foul sewers from which they slithered.
Our fight is for our survival as a nation. Already Speaker Pelosi is advertising her desire to cannibalize the military to push her social agenda. These people must be stopped if we are to survive.
The only solution is a total and complete purge of Progressives from the House, Senate and eventually the White House. Our weapons are our pens, phones and the ballot box. Volunteer, make calls, write letters and knock doors. We are in greater peril as a nation than we have ever been before.
A huge mistake was made at the ballot box in November, 2008. The ballot box is where we will make our correction.

But in the bare hands (and arms) of Larry, it is never rambling and always to the point. He summed up the Obama speech in one sentence.
“I think that dude’s bitten off more ‘n he can chew.”
Well said, Larry. There is nothing to add.

Another Spot On Post by:
Elwood E. “Sandy” Sanders, Jr.
Reason TV, Tertium Quids and the Republican Liberty Caucus of Virginia report that the new Governor Robert McDonnell wants to privatize the state liquor stores. Here’s the Reason TV video:
I agree! I do not intend to condone the use or abuse of liquor; I do not drink alcohol in any form. But it is not a governmental function. The ABC stores should be sold and extra revenue raised from the private dealers (with appropriate safety and zoning regulation) applied to essential government needs like education.
But I urge the Governor not to stop there: Sell the lottery, too.
The state lottery, that “benefits” education, is a form of gambling run by a state agency under the authority of the statutes and state constitution. Gambling is not inherently sinful but is discouraged by most evangelical denominations. But there are social costs associated with gambling. This book published by the Cambridge University Press by an expert (formerly on the faculty of the University of Illinois now Distinguished Professor of Economics at Baylor University) asserts that the social costs of gambling is half that of drug abuse. Professor Earl L. Grinols suggests that:
The social costs of gambling, such as increased crime, lost work time, bankruptcies and financial hardships faced by the families of gambling addicts, have reached epidemic proportions, costing the economy as much as $54 billion annually, Earl L. Grinols, an Illinois economist, has written in “Gambling in America: Costs and Benefits,” published this month by Cambridge University Press.
This compares with the estimated annual $110 billion cost of drug abuse, according to the U.S. General Accounting Office.
While the emphasis was on casino gambling, the state lottery certainly places the state in the position of both encouraging gambling and also making it socially acceptable, even desirable (I’m helping education!). There was a commercial in the Commonwealth of Virginia that had teachers and classrooms shown to encourage playing the lottery.
Try this source: Dr. Patrick Briney, Ph.D., President of the Arkansas Republican Assembly. Dr. Briney wrote that the social costs of the lottery outweigh the benefits:
- State sponsored lotteries promote problem gambling (Richard Huddleston, 2002. An Arkansas Lottery, A Bad Bet for Education & Families?).
- Research shows, “… that the lottery is a powerful recruiting device, which is responsible for inducing about one-quarter of the adult population who would not otherwise have done so to participate in commercial gambling.” Lotteries create gamblers who otherwise may never have gambled. (Clotfelter and Cook, Selling Hope: State Lotteries in America (Cambridge, Mass., Harvard University Press) 1991 pg. 105).
- Dr. Lance Dodes, who runs Massachusetts’ largest outpatient treatment center for problem gamblers says that lottery players comprise 44% of his patients. (Golden, Daniel and Halbfinger, David, “Lottery Addiction Rises and Lives Fall” Boston Globe, February 11, 1997).
- 43% of all callers to the national 1-800-GAMBLER hotline indicated problems with lottery gambling. (Council on Compulsive Gambling, “1995 Statistics for 1-800-GAMBLER Hotline” March 20, 1996)
- 39% of persons who entered publicly funded alcohol and drug treatment centers in Texas stated that the lottery was their most problematic gambling activity. (Wallisch, Lynn, “Gambling in Texas: 1995 Survey of Adult and Adolescent Behavior” Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse).
I wrote on this before. Senator Sue Madison of Arkansas was brave to take that issue on. The Hot Springs Sentinel-Record reported that the bill died in committee.
While as a libertarian I believe gambling should be legal, subject to appropriate regulation, the state must get out of the gambling business. Sell the lottery, Governor McDonnell.

This blog has posted several posts about the important work ProjectVirginia is spearheading that was instrumental in bringing the Republicans into the lead on the New Media tools available. They helped numerous candidates (and anyone else that cares to browse ProjectVirginia’s website).
I have had the pleasure of meeting the group’s President, Ford O’Connell, and listening to his vision. He is technically savvy in all things internet, and has an amazing ability to turn geek speak into language easily understood by all.
The quote below shows that ProjectVirginia is far more than just another technical know-how group. The advice from Ford and Techno-wizard Steve shows a far deeper understanding of the political spectrum than most would expect.
That is, unless you have met these guys.
Kudos for spot on advice!
Here is a clip, read the rest at ProjectVirginia. And please DO look around the site. You will find much more great stuff!
You have heard before – and will again, as the time for your speech approaches – that you have laid out a new blueprint Republicans can follow as they attempt to return from the electoral wilderness. The blueprint: talk kitchen-table issues – jobs, the economy, transportation – and, as Jonathan Martin wrote last November in Politico, “downplay divisive cultural issues.” You’ll be urged to stretch this blueprint into a full-court press against President Obama and everything that doesn’t work in Washington.
Don’t fall for it. It’s a trap that will turn you into an echo of the President and a voice of Washington. You have your story – Virginia’s story.
Last fall in Virginia, voters looked at crumbling roads, a shaky economy and an education system whose costs have spiraled out of control, and they elected the candidate who offered the most honest, credible, workable solutions to those problems. They appreciated that you stayed on message and kept the discussion about issues and not the personalities of your opponent or President Obama. Americans want their political leaders to succeed, and you seemed much more prepared for success than your opponent.

(Washington, D.C.) U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN-06), along with several Republican colleagues, formally unveiled and signed today the Declaration of Health Care Independence at the U.S. Capitol.
“The Declaration of Health Care Independence is a commitment to protect the rights of the American people to make their own health care decisions, reduce bureaucratic red-tape, decrease intergenerational debt, and includes 10 common-sense principles that must be included in future health care reforms,” said Bachmann. “This is not a bill, but rather a roadmap of the rules going forward.
“I believe the majority of Washington supports these 10 principles, and I invite members on both sides of the aisle to sign the Declaration so we can move forward and implement reforms that are good for the American people. The people have spoken, and they have overwhelmingly rejected what’s been put forth so far. It’s time to get back to the drawing board,” said Bachmann.
A copy of the Declaration of Health Care Independence is below:
Declaration of Health Care Independence
In order to retain the Blessings of Liberty as secured to us by our Founding Fathers and as expressed in our Constitution, We the People reject the imposition upon us of a new, Washington-controlled system of government-run health care. We demand Constitutional protection of the right to make our own health decisions and our own health care choices free of government denials, bureaucratic red-tape, and greater intergenerational debt.
A Washington takeover of American health care will
1) Deny fundamental personal and economic liberties and indisputably violate the Principle of Limited Government as established by the Constitution;
2) Impose increased costs and taxes upon individuals, families, and businesses, as well as taxpayers at the federal, state, and local levels;
3) Irreparably cripple the American economy, at the cost of jobs, businesses, productivity, and quality of life;
4) Create an inescapable new tax by imposing individual and employer mandates;
5) Institutionalize a massive, ever-expanding federal bureaucracy that is impersonal and impractical;
6) Empower bureaucrats to interfere in the doctor-patient relationship, undermine the quality of care, limit choice, and increase the cost of health care.
We have appealed to the decency of the elected majority to respect the rights of all Americans, but their leaders have been deaf to the Voice of the People. We are appalled by their cavalier disregard of the Constitution and of the demands of the People. We are repulsed by their blatant political bribes and kickbacks.
We, therefore, the People and Representatives of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, do solemnly Publish and Declare that health care reform, as a matter of principle must
1) Protect as inviolate the vital doctor-patient relationship;
2) Reject any addition to the crushing national debt heaped upon all Americans;
3) Improve, rather than diminish, the quality of care that Americans enjoy;
4) Be negotiated publically, transparently, with genuine accountability and oversight, and be free from political favoritism;
5) Treat private citizens at least as well as political officials;
6) Protect taxpayers from funding of abortion and abortion coverage;
7) Reject all new mandates on patients, employers, individuals, or states;
8) Prohibit expansion of taxpayer funded health care to those unlawfully present in the United States;
9) Guarantee Equal Protection under the law and the Constitution;
10) Empower, rather than limit, an open and accessible marketplace of health care choice and opportunity.

The new Obama, freshly chastised by Massachusetts voters, slammed by laughter at his “I still don’t get it” response is now looking to shave a cat’s whisker off of the massive spending he has inflicted on Americans.
Like the kid that ate a whole box of dozen doughnuts, Obama now forgoes licking the box.
Too late. People know the real you. More and more of your followers are turning on you every day. They wanted change in the positive direction, you brought them change alright. Change to a more partisan Washington (which most thought was not possible). Change from a country with a serious debt problem to one with an impossible debt problem.
Your promise of openness and transparency turned to one of secrecy and bribery. And closed door deals.
The fastest solution does not require passing laws to limit spending, which we all know is a sham. The solution is simple.
Unlock the closed doors. Let the people know what you are up to. Stop being a sneaky, shady President and actually work for the people who elected you, instead of the radical, agenda driven Progressives who own you.
You said you would rather be a good one term president than a mediocre two term president. The path you have chosen will have history remember you as a the worst one term president in the history of the country.
Those of us that didn’t vote for you saw through you. We said your radical associations with Ayres and Wright and many others were a negative influence on your life. We read your book and were shocked with your hatred of white America. And despite the greatest cover-up in history by your Media friends, we feared that you would do exactly what you have done. Divide the country, bankrupt the country and compromise our security. We still want your Socialist policies to fail, but we want America to succeed and return to prosperity. To that end, we want you to succeed as President.
And our fears and concerns have proved to be well placed. Only you have exceeded our darkest fears.
Open up your secret back rooms. Stop making the fraudulent, bribe laden deals just to have something to talk about in your State of the Union address.
The truth is, we are worse off than one year ago and are headed full speed in the wrong direction. Your arrogance, failure to take or even consider any blame for the problems compounds the issues we all face. You have lost the good will you once had, and you have lost the trust of those who trusted you. Your have surrounded yourself with “yes” men and do not seem to have a clue why people are so disappointed in you.
Those of us who did not vote for believed you were not truthful in your many speeches, so lavishly filled with bumper sticker sound bites. Our fears have been confirmed. Those who were fooled now see your empty words and promises for what they really were. Lies to get you elected. Vagueness to hide your radical plans. Empty promises to win votes.
And you have lied to the American people, which is why the Joe Wilson comments cut you and your party so deeply.
Open the doors. Salvage what you can, not for your own narcissistic glory, but for the return to prosperity of the United States of America.

It seems there is a lot of misinformation floating around in Virginia today concerning the Virginia Budget, specifically the horrendous hack job proposed by former Governor Tim Kaine. Some of these fears concern inaccurate rumors of cuts to the police forces in Virginia concerning a large number of personnel cuts.
These are difficult times financially, but the core functions of the Commonwealth are of greatest concern to Republican lawmakers and our new Governor, Bob McDonnell.
Former Governor Kaine laid out many proposals in his introduced budget, one of which are cuts to public safety. Due to the current economic climate, legislators will be tasked with making difficult decisions throughout the budget process this session resulting in less spending. Public safety has long been supported by the Republicans in the legislature.

My, my, my.
How the mighty have fallen.
And it is a dead heat among all voters.
A stunning new poll conducted by Newsmax/Zogby reveals that Massachusett’s new Republican Senator-elect Scott Brown could defeat President Barack Obama in a presidential election.
The Newsmax/Zogby poll released Tuesday found that the pair would be statistically deadlocked if the presidential election was held today.
The poll indicates surprisingly weak support for the president among independent voters, who favor the tyro Brown by 48.6 percent to 36 percent in a hypothetical matchup against Obama.

When did the “In The Tank” Media switch the statistical calculations to Jobs Created or Saved? Obviously, about one year ago. But is that a fair assessment of what is really going on with employment?
Of course not. Even in the best of times new jobs are created and lost. The only valid measure is NET jobs. To focus on jobs created, as this administration likes to do, means that in good economic times, jobs lost somehow has a significance.
The job market changes. It is constantly in flux. New advances and trends make things obsolete. This includes jobs. As LP records (big black CD’s as my kids call them) gave way to 8 Track Tapes, which became cassette tapes, CD’s and now MP3 players, jobs were lost and jobs were created. How is it valid to publicize the jobs created and ignore the jobs lost.
And how valid is it for a President to lay claim to creating those jobs?
Somehow, fewer job losses than the previous month is seen as a good sign, and numbers touted are not the unemployment numbers, but the percentage of decrease compared to the previous month. This becomes a positive percentage (unemployment declines 10% over last month). BUT JOBS WERE STILL LOST! Yet many believe we are on the positive side of zero job growth. They are tricked into thinking less of a loss is actually a gain.
Fewer losses is a good thing, to be sure. But the way it is presented is deceptive. Do baseball fans celebrate a 1 run loss because it is better than the previous game’s 2 run loss? Of course not. They know a loss is a loss. Could you imagine the Philadelphia or New York papers declaring victory because the margin of victory by the other team was cut in half?
Until the numbers return to positive, a loss is still a loss.
The “In The Tank” Media and the Obama Administration are intentionally and brazenly deceiving the American people.
And jobs saved? Are you kidding me?
It’s the net jobs, stupid.

Obama Redefines Success
A provocative and profound statement no doubt. But this is a true statement when you consider the fact that Obama Administration has redefined success in America.
If you are like most Americans, you define success as a good economy, plenty of work, unfettered opportunity and freedom second to none on the planet. This is the view of America Obama wants to fail.
He replaces the definition of success with his own. A country where the government knows better than the people what we each need. Where the government makes the “hard” choices like taking over corporations, forcing health care and “green” technology on Americans no matter the cost in economic losses. Government calls all of the shots and anyone that does not agree will be attacked. Dissent and opposing views are not welcomed.
So, American success as defined by Obama is American failure in the eyes of all but the hard core Socialists and elitists. To them, freedom’s failure is America’s success.
Yes, there is a new definition of success that “Progressives” use to define their progress.
Unemployment and a faltering economy are a necessary component of his plan to achieve his view of American success. People are willing to accept a loss of freedom in exchange for security, be it personal or financial, in dire times.
The Bush Administration pushed through new laws like the Patriot Act, which Liberals later decried as a loss of liberty and an unprecedented and unconstitutional loss of freedom and too much governmental control. And they were not wrong. Now, they support laws and actions by this president that are an even larger encroachment on our freedoms by a factor of several magnitudes.
Obama is using a crisis to get around the Constitution. The Patriot Act has an expiration date. It did it’s job and we have been safe. But Obama’s plans have no expiration date. They are a permanent loss of our Liberty.
With an economic recovery, the window of opportunity slams shut on Obama’s “Progressive” vision. He also knows that he can’t continue blaming Bush his entire term. So he will now set up focus groups to fix the unemployment problem. While most would define success in such an endeavor as recommendations that will put America back to work, Obama wants them to come up with recommendations that will slowly appear to work. A willing press will make any upwards progress out to be a complete recovery. Even if it takes 10 years. They already act as if a smaller loss of jobs than the previous month is somehow a gain.
And they can always point back to the beginning of the recession and say more jobs were lost then, so this is good news.
Obama does not want any recovery to take hold until after his plans to control all aspects of the country are in place. Plans that will bring about the total devastation of America.
At that point we will be fully dependent on the government for our survival.
And Obama’s vision of American success will be complete.

The New York Jets played the Colts about as tough as they could. They gave the proverbial 110%. But as teams have seen this year, Peyton Manning and company will figure out what you are doing, make the corrections and find a way to win. The young receivers have really learned to step up when the Colts “stars” are covered. Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark are the pair that were expected to do well this year, and Anthony Gonzalez was to pick up the slack for the departed Marvin Harrison. Gonzo went down in the first game (untouched) and never played again. Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie have been working with Manning one on one for weeks now. And it shows.
Garcon set an AFC Championship Game record with 11 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown. Collie caught seven passes for 123 yards and a touchdown. Garcon is a second-year player who caught four passes last season. Collie is a rookie who had never had a 100-yard game until Sunday, when he had 105 in the first half.
You can double cover Wayne, you can take away Clark, but someone will be open. You can blitz and you will get burned. It may work for a little while, but Manning will have the adjustments down by the third quarter and whetever you are doing to get in his face may work for a while, but you leave yourself exposed.
The Jets had the league’s number one defense. Manning completed 26-of-39 passes for 377 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. He brought the Colts back from an 11-point deficit. The league’s only four-time Most Valuable Player is something to watch.
And the Colt’s Defense?
For years I have watched some of the leagues best and worst backs have a field day with the Colt’s secondary. Jacksonville’s Jones-Drew has been a hot knife through butter. Not this year. The Jets have one of the best sets of backs in the league. Running is their bread and butter. They were held to 86 yards (the Colts broke 100). No major changes from years past. Bob Sanders is gone. I have a personal connection with Antoine Bethea (full disclosure), but he has turned into a monster at Safety. They all have. Staying in lanes, swarming to the ball. Can you burn them on occasion? Sure. But not often.
I trace my unwavering Colt’s fanhood back to the early ’60′s. Johnny “U” – flat top haircut and high top shoes. I have never wavered in my support. The Jets and Joe Namath broke my heart. Not this time.
The Saints will be a tough opponent. But Manning will have a lower rated defense to pick apart. Should be a good game.
Oh, and as this is a political blog, I must add – Obama still doesn’t get it. More Socialism and his brand of elitism will be forces on the country. But for three and one half hours yesterday, I didn’t even think about it.

Tito The Builder and Deborah Munoz
I was invited to a meeting of the Latino National Republican Coalition of Virginia that took place yesterday in Reston, Va. During the 2009 election cycle I was fortunate enough to become friends with Tito “The Builder” Munoz and his wife Deborah. If you don’t remember Tito, I have included a video of him appearing on Hannity and Colmes on the FoxNews Network at the end of this post. This interview is an all time classic. This couple worked tirelessly for the McDonnell campaign with an eye on reaching out to the Latino community. But they reached far more than the Latino community. While it is impossible to say exactly how many people were influenced by this “power couple” in 2009, I have no doubt that Bob McDonnell’s historic margin of victory included a large number of votes from the Latino community who trusted the judgment of Tito and Deborah enough to bring victory to Bob McDonnell and
many other races on which they worked.
Tito and Deborah own a Construction Company and know how to build bridges out of concrete and asphalt. But the true monument to the Munoz accomplishments are not the ones made of concrete, but the ones made from words and actions. While many see the work they do as reaching out to the Latino community, the truth is, these are two way bridges. They are simultaneously reaching into the Conservative population and changing the perceptions of many Conservatives.
The Latino community is not one entity. They are from many diverse countries, each having their own rich history and each bringing their own cultural enrichment into the Great American Melting Pot. But there are many common threads shared with “natural born” Americans. In particular Conservatives. Most have a foundation built on a love of God, strong family bonds and a desire to work and make their own way in life. But what I have come to realize is many have witnessed first hand the failures and loss of freedom brought about by the Socialists and Communists that have devastated the freedoms of these proud people in their birth countries.
Their love of freedom is what brought them to the United States.
They studied hard, learned English, learned the US Constitution and had to pass a test to become citizens. For those of us that were born here, we are Americans by birth. We are not required to take a test. No effort is required at all. Many natural born Americans have become complacent, and take what we have for granted. Not these Americans. Not the ones that had to study, learn and work for the right to say they are Americans. Not the ones that chose to be Americans. Not the ones that were forced by the government to jump through hoops natural born Americans can only imagine. No, they earned the right to be called US Citizens. They worked far harder than I ever had to for this right.
And many natural born citizens look down on these Americans and discrimination is everywhere. But the determined nature of these Americans is tempered by a first hand knowledge how bad things are under a Socialist regime and how important freedom really is. And they shake off the discrimination, they do not cry about it, they simply see it as another obstacle to overcome.
I love my country. I love my freedom. But my Latino friends have sounded the alarm that the “Progressives” who have taken over the Democratic Party have us on the road to a complete loss of freedom and are intent on making America another failed experiment in Socialism in the mold of Fidel Castro in Cuba and Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. And they are absolutely right!
Tito told me “When I decided to leave Columbia, I could have moved anywhere in the world. Some of my relatives moved to European countries that are Socialist. I wanted freedom and opportunity. The United States of America is the best place for both. And now, I see the freedom and opportunity slipping away. These are the reasons I came here. We must protect freedom.”
The Latino National Republican Coalition of Virginia is part of a National group that is uniting Americans to keep our Country free. This group is using the legendary passion and fire Latinos are known for to ignite a fire in all Americans. Not for armed revolution, but for a grassroots effort to educate and reach out to ALL Americans and awaken the pride and love of freedom the “Progressives” wish to kill.
This Coalition has some of the most American leaders, the likes of which this country has not seen in over 200 years. The Virginia chapter is working on a call-in radio show, in Spanish, to help with the education. While Latinos have traditionally voted Democratic, that party has used and abused them, and has now moved so far to the left, thanks to the “Progressives”, that they are now a Socialist party.
A radio show takes money, and the Coalition is planning a number of fund raising opportunities beginning next month. Additional details will follow on this blog.
While this group has a number of passionate leaders from the Latino Community, it was a distinct honor and privilege to meet Federico Morales who is a National Committeeman for the group. At 75 years young, Mr. Morales has a long history of advocating for freedom. His birth in Cuba tells you all you need to know about this important American leader.
It will take all freedom loving Americans working together to defeat the “Progressive” threat, a threat that just as dangerous to Americans’ freedom as Al-Qaida. While “Progressives” may not knock down our buildings, they have already knocked down our economy and pretend it was the fault of the previous administration.
The Latino community is one of the greatest allies of freedom this country has. We all need to welcome and embrace their efforts. Working together, we can accomplish our goals much faster.
But make no mistake. This is one group of Patriots that is focused on a single goal: Freedom. You can either join them, or get out of the way. There is no other option.
Me? I will stand with them. We are already on the same team. Always have been.
Viva la libertad!
Please watch this interview if you have not seen it. It is priceless!

Bloomberg reports:
Jan. 22 (Bloomberg) — U.S. investors overwhelmingly see President Barack Obama as anti-business and question his ability to manage a financial crisis, according to a Bloomberg survey.
The global quarterly poll of investors and analysts who are Bloomberg subscribers finds that 77 percent of U.S. respondents believe Obama is too anti-business and four-out-of-five are only somewhat confident or not confident of his ability to handle a financial emergency.
This report came out about the same time President Obama began attacking banks, which he hope will be the new common enemy of the American people and allow him to grab additional power and control over financial markets.
Businesses and investors are not happy with his attacks on Capitalism as it is holding them back and increasing unemployment. Obama has moved from one “class warfare” engagement to another.
Interestingly, the Supreme Court also struck down key provisions of the McCain-Feingold Act this week which prevented free speech by businesses. President Obama and most Democrats decried the ruling as allowing corporations to say whatever they want and spend money to help politicians of their choice. In other words, the parts that controlled free speech.
Obama and the anti-business Democrats can look forward to 77% of these investors spending a lot of money to tell the truth about this administration.
That will likely not be very pleasant in today’s political atmosphere.
