A horrible couple of days in the greenie-weenie world. Two plants are spewing smoke and pollution into the air in the name of a greener environment. Is it terrorism or just stupidity? You be the judge.
The Kleen Energy Plant in Middleton, Conn. exploded a short time ago. “Bodies are everywhere” according to rescue workers. At this point, they are trying to get approval to cut the power to the burning plant so they can fight the fires. Ahhh. Regulations.
Listen to EMS radio live over the internet at Middletown Radio.
From FoxNews:
Mass casualities and multiple injuries were reported Sunday after a massive explosion at a Connecticut power plant, police confirmed to Fox News.
The explosion occurred just before 11:30 a.m. local time at the Kleen Energy plant on River Road in Middletown, Conn.
This follows an explosion yesterday in Louisiana of an environmental unit that cleans residual gas.
From Channel 9 in Louisiana:
SHREVEPORT, LA (AP) – A spokeswoman at the Calumet Specialty Product Partners Refinery in Shreveport said an explosion shut down an environmental unit that cleans up residual gas.
Fire Department safety chief Scott Wolverton said nobody was hurt and the explosion Friday did not start any fires.
Neighbors said it broke windows and knocked tiles from a wall and china out of a cabinet. Refinery spokeswoman Liz Swaine said repairmen were to fix windows Saturday at six nearby houses.
I am not sure if Americans will survive any more “green” jobs.
