Even in Texas, Democrat State Rep. Kristi Thibaut’s ACORN Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree

Even in Texas, Democrat State Rep. Kristi Thibaut’s ACORN Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree

Posted at Disrupt the Narrative

Well looky there, ACORN has its own little nut in the Texas House.  The Texas Republicans peeled her bark in a press release today. Thibaut’s past is not unlike that of President Barack Obama; she too started out as a community organizer. And both did work for ACORN. Kristi even appeared at the State Capitol as a paid lobbyist for ACORN during the 2007 Legislative Session. ACORN activities have attracted the attention of law enforcement and prosecutors around the country, after they were exposed in a series of stings by a couple posing as a prostitute and a pimp, soliciting ACORN’s advice on how to operate their illegal enterprise without getting caught. Even the United States Congress condemned ACORN’s actions and cut off

Massive Voter Fraud Reported in Houston

Massive Voter Fraud Reported in Houston

Posted at Disrupt the Narrative

Texas Watchdog is all over the story, and it’s a big one. Voter registration group Houston Votes has inundated the county voter registrar’s office with faulty registrations, including multiple applications for the same voters and for noncitizens, registrar Leo Vasquez said. He likens it to ACORN. Two Texas activist groups, Houston Votes and Texans Together Education Fund , were accused Tuesday of an organized voter fraud campaign by Harris County Voter Registrar Leo Vasquez , who likened the groups to the now-discredited ACORN . Read the rest – this is very much in ACORN’s wheelhouse, as it is in the Democrat left’s wheelhouse generally.  And Houston being Texas’ largest city, this is a very big deal to the entire state. And when I mention the Democrats, I’m not just blowing smoke. While Lewis maintains his group is nonpartisan, its board is decidedly liberal-leaning , according to research by blogHouston , which noted earlier this month that the Texans Together board included a Bill Clinton appointee, Democratic consultants and an aide to former Gov. Ann Richards. Yeah.  They&#…

Obama Zombies Urged to Harass Radio Talk Shows

Organizing for America, the personal Acorn wing of the Obama reelection campaign has set up a web site, Radio Barack Obama, to train their zombie core to call into radio talk shows in a desperate attempt to salvage Obama’s failed Health Care bills.

Of course, you can’t turn these Kool-Aid swilling mental cases out on the world without talking points. After all, they have no thoughts of their own. The Talking Points include a hilarious “disclaimer” that “These points are only to provide extra information and suggestions (as in hypnotic suggestions?). Your personal story will make the most compelling message.

Your personal story?

Really? They are expected to discuss just how wonderful ObamaCare has been for them? Or what a long wait they had at a hospital for a drug overdose. Or the fact that they got a bill from the “unfair” insurance company for the portion their contract states it does not pay.

The basic belief you must have to be an ObamaCare Zombie is that ObamaCare will be free for everyone, except the rich, of course. That you will be placed at the head of the line and all diseases will be cured on the spot. And, most importantly, stealing money from Medicare to pay for this will “save” Medicare and eliminate the National Debt!

These are the people that will be trying to make a point on Conservative talk radio shows.

It really isn’t fair, is it? Most of their “targets” will shred them like grass in a lawn mower. Even Obama was shredded yesterday when he was caught in a lie about Health Care Premiums. Yes, they will go up for individuals. 10% to 13%. I was glad he cleared that up.

Here are the “talking points” from the Obama site with comments in bold.

DISCUSSION POINTS

These points are only to provide extra information and suggestions. Your personal story will make the most compelling message.

  • For most Americans, their health care plan covers too little and costs too much. Far too many people delay or even skip the care they need because they simply can’t afford it. (With ObamaCare, it will cost more, cover even less and fine you if you don’t pay your premiums.)
  • The plan the President laid out includes the largest health care tax cut for middle class families in history and makes coverage more affordable for tens of millions of families and small business owners and expands coverage to over 31 million Americans who are currently uninsured. (With ObamaCare, you will receive a tax credit of 2% and an increase in Insurance Premiums of up to 13%. Good thing Zombies can’t count. Americans can!)
  • This plan will give millions of Americans new choices in health insurance by making coverage more affordable, ending the denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions, putting power in the hands of consumers instead of insurance companies and providing one of the largest tax cuts in history while also reducing our national deficit. (And it will cure cancer and feed the homeless and we will all be rich! Pre-existing conditions could be covered now, and are in states like New York and Massachusetts – and the result is massive increases in Premiums. Someone has to pay for adding sick people to your insurance company. And it will only cost 2 trillion dollars. And if we increase all these taxes and rob Medicare for 10 years, but only add up the “new” costs for a fraction of that time, the math works out!)
  • Reform couldn’t be more urgent – just this month consumers in California were told their premiums could go up as much as 39 percent. (Because MediCal reduced what it pays doctors, who must pass the losses on to someone, and those with insurance are it. If they are prevented from increasing premiums, doctors don’t get paid. So, they will do less work, fewer tests and many will leave the profession.)
  • Too many in Washington are now saying that we should delay or give up on reform entirely, but Americans understand the stakes for our economy and our lives, and we want action. (Just like the “urgency” on global warming and everything else these Socialists do. Quick! Don’t think, act! If people stop ant think about the lies Obama is spreading about his Health Care plan, they reject it. He is like the high pressure used car salesman that does not want you to look under the hood and kick the tires.)

This is going to be fun! I wonder how many “progressives” will actually listen to the truth. Naaa. These guys don’t listen to truth. That’s why they are called “progressives”.

CPAC Live – Andrew Breitbart in Bloggers Lounge

Andrew Breitbart at CPAC

Andrew Breitbart at CPAC

Andrew Breitbart, the man that brought the ACORN corruption to light on his BigGovernment.com web site stopped by the blogger’s lounge for a lengthy visit. I have a video that is a must see and will get that uploaded to YouTube later this evening after processing.

Breightbart urged all of the bloggers to continue exposing the liberals who are using political correctness to try to destroy those who would expose their Alinsky tactics and ACORN and SEIU corruption.

Currently, Amb. John Bolton is addressing the CPAC crowd.

CPAC – End of Day 1

CPAC Blogger's Lounge

CPAC Blogger's Lounge

What a wonderful day with a record crowd of Conservative activists. Over 10,000 sane, rational political junkies in the same room. The pompous arrogance of the Democratic progressives was pleasantly absent. No whining liberals in a mass political gathering in Washington D.C.

What a breath of fresh air!

The big surprises of the day were Dick Cheney and Scott Brown 41.

The most amazing aspect of this gathering is the huge numbers of young people. College students outnumber the long time GOP’ers 2 or 3 to 1. Failed policies of the Obama administration and the outright lies have opened the eyes of today’s youth in numbers that amaze even me.

Day two begins in the morning, but tonight the bloggers are all invited to a Bloggers Bash at the Freedom Works HQ here in D.C.

Although I did not get a chance to speak with them, Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe just walked through the Blogger’s Lounge. These are the young journalists that single handedly exposed ACORN as the corrupt organization that they are.

Perhaps tomorrow!

Obama Sending Iran Mixed Messages

Fearing more brutality in Iran, the Obama administration urged the Islamic Regime to allow the peaceful protests. If you recall, last December during protests in Iran Obama said:

“The United States joins with the international community in strongly condemning the violent and unjust suppression of innocent Iranian citizens, which has apparently resulted in detentions, injuries, and even death,” Obama told journalists in a break from his Christmas holiday in Hawaii.

Today, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs touched on the Iranian crackdown on Google email.

It is no wonder Iran is confused on the message coming out of Washington these days.

After condemning Iran for problematic elections, Obama defends Acorn and Attorney General Eric Holder drops charges against armed members of the Black Panthers that intimidated voters in Pennsylvania.

After condemning the Tea Parties in the US, Obama urges Iran to allow the protests in that country.

After expressing concern about Iran blocking access to Gmail, the Obama administration pushes for tracking cell phones, saying there is no expectation of privacy. (Yet the Bush “illegal” wiretaps were somehow improper.)

It seems to be a case of one oppressive regime calling another oppressive regime oppressive. No wonder Iran is confused.

Sharpton

Obama Seeks Jobs Advice From Al Sharpton

Rev. Al Sharptop to help with jobs?

Rev. Al Sharptop to help with jobs?

Al Sharpton? Are you kidding? Has he ever even held a real job?

I could just imagine that conversation.

President Obama: Welcome Reverend Sharpton. Please have a seat.

Reverend Al: Thank you. Good to see you again. I have a couple of ideas to run by you, and I think they will get America working again.

President Obama: Cool. I could use some help. Things have been going, well, not exactly as planned.

Reverend Al: You got that right.

President Obama: (Dirty look)

Reverend Al: My first idea is pretty simple. We simply redefine welfare as a job. Millions of people will then be employed, and they will all be at least as productive as you and I are. And we could knock that nasty unemployment number down to nothing. Hell, Matthews and Olbermann will run hour long specials, and them big mouth Bee-atches on The View will have you on at least once a week. And if we also add in unemployment as a job, we will need to import people from, say, Haiti, to “fill” the positions.

President Obama: Interesting, but Limbaugh, Fox and those damn Teabaggers would see right through that. Besides, I have already created or saved lots of jobs.

Reverend Al: Sorry to put a damper on that, but do you really thing you should count saved Acorn jobs?

President Obama: Ok. That’s not funny. What else you got?

Reverend Al: Ok. Here’s an employment idea that has actually worked. You find some poor ghetto girl that is late for supper, smear her with dog crap ….

President Obama: Guards! The “Reverend” is finished here. Please escort him out…

Reverend Al: But, but, but …

President Obama: And call Michelle. Somebody needs to put Al here on a diet.

President Obama: (To his secretary) Get me Olbermann and Matthews. I have an idea….

Liberal Media Mute on Acorn Filmmaker Arrest Because They Failed to Report the Acorn Story

Ha! Censorship does backfire!

James O’Keefe, the filmmaker who pretended to be a pimp and exposed Acorn for the corrupt and despicable organization that they are may have gone a bridge too far.

He and some friends visited the offices of Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu and attempted to get jiggy with her phones. Landrieu is a US Senator and no matter how you feel about her taking a $300 Million bribe for her Health Care Reform vote, that’s some serious bad Mojo he attempted to perpetrate on the US Senate’s very own version of a Cajun Marie Laveau.

Voudou bad!

But I find the most interesting aspect of this case is that Olbermann and Matthews along with all the other lefty media that ignored the Acorn scandal now find themselves with a story that they would so love to rub in Conservative’s faces, but the fact that they ignored the Acorn story makes it hard to crow about this hated Filmmaker’s fall over the edge.

What can they say?

“The Conservative filmmaker who exposed the fraud at Acorn which we totally ignored …”

If only they had actually reported the news they could have a field day with this.

A War With Iran Will Cut the Deficit – Provide Jobs and Stop Global Warming!

According to the CBO (the Cold Beer Office), a war with Iraq will provide jobs for weapons manufacturers and soldiers, provide affordable Health Care and Housing for our lowest income workers – the military, and once and for all put an end to Global Warming caused by numerous diplomatic missions shuttling back and forth to issue meaningless threats to Iran.

This could all be paid for by massive cuts to the Department of Education, and College grants, as most of our young will be drafted to fight. An additional savings will be realized by cutting off funding to Acorn.

It is projected that if we immediately initiate the cuts, but wait until 2014 to drop the first bombs, this plan will actually save $4 trillion over 10 years.

If you believe that, I have a Senate Health Reform bill to sell you, because you are extremely gullible.

This is a very telling video from an “Angry Young Girl”, who is actually calling people gullible that believe in religion. But since Global Warming and Socialism itself is being pushed as a religion, her premise hold true.

Independent Investigation Clears Acorn of Wrongdoing (Snicker Snicker)

An “Independent Investigation” has cleared Acorn of wrongdoing in the undercover investigation by the pair of brave Americans.

Head “independent” lawyer Scott Harshbarger, senior counsel at Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston and former Massachusetts attorney general determined this after a couple of months likely spent playing Texas Hold ‘em while drinking Bourbon and smoking Cuban Cigars.

It seems the word “independent” only means that Harshbarger is not on Acorn’s payroll – that we know of. But the term independent is a laughable moniker for a Democratic Party operative, politician and partisan hack. This was a foregone conclusion from day one.

If you don’t remember Harshbarger, he was the one who prosecuted the Fells Acres Day Care Center case where several children were allegedly “abused”. If you also recall, back in the late 80′s and early 90′s a number of other child molestation prosecutions occurred. And it was later determined that shrinks managed to implant false memories in the children’s heads after repeated “sessions” with them.

To Harvard educated Liberal Harshbarger, a conviction was more important than the truth. Several innocent people’s lives were likely ruined by this political wannabe, who used the case to run for Governor in 1998.

This “investifation” has the same credibility as a Halliburton investigation by Dick Cheney would have – none.

This only proves Acorn is the corrupt and fraudulent organization they are believed to be.

Ann Coulters Take on the 2009 Election – a Must Read

Finally catching up on some of the reading from last week’s election, I was amused at Ann Coulter’s November 4th post mostly on Virginia’s election, but also the others.

It is worth a read.

A favorite line:

At 49 percent for Republican Chris Christie versus 44 percent for Corzine, the election wasn’t even close enough to be stolen by ACORN. (Although Corzine did extremely well among underaged Salvadoran prostitutes living in government housing.)

Democrat Tom Shields Outed!

ShieldsAcorn
Democrat Tom Shields is running in the 73rd Virginia House District and calling himself a “New Generation Of Independent Leadership“.

His opponent, Republican John O’Bannon M.D. has pointed out at several debates that Shields’ office is in the Democratic Party of Virginia Office Suites and that the Democrats are sending mass mailings on Shields behalf that are not truthful and totally dishonest.

So far, Shields has refused to acknowledge Dr. O’Bannon’s claims.

So, the latest fund raising figures are out and Tom “Mr. Independent” Shields issues a press release proudly proclaiming that he raised more money than O’Bannon. But Tom Shields dishonestly hid the truth. He is hoping the voters will not realize his soul is bought and paid for by the Democrats.

In order to hide the embarrassing truth that he is not “Independent” as he claims and he has been lying to voters all along, Shields hides almost $68,000 that the Democrats donated with the untruthful mailings.

Here is the truth in the table below. You can also check it out for yourself on the VPAP website.

TOM SHIELDS – YOUR DISHONESTY HAS BEEN EXPOSED!!! HERE IS THE $67,853.00 YOU ARE HIDING FROM VOTERS. IT’S TIME TO COME CLEAN WITH VIRGINIA!

$12,618 Democratic Party of Virginia 09/15/2009
$10,325 Democratic Party of Virginia 09/30/2009
$9,069 Democratic Party of Virginia 09/17/2009
$9,069 Democratic Party of Virginia 09/21/2009
$9,069 Democratic Party of Virginia 09/23/2009
$8,911 Democratic Party of Virginia 09/28/2009
$8,792 Democratic Party of Virginia 09/25/2009

Thank goodness for the disclosure requirements of Virginia and the Virginia Public Access Project. Otherwise, it would be hard to unmask this dishonesty.

And that’s not all. With half his money coming from the Democratic Party that he fails to mention, he also forgot to tell voters that a large portion of the rest of his fund raising prowess came in the form of a loan from James Ukrop. And of course more union money to add to the Acorn/SEIU cash.

Tom Shields are so indebted to the Democrats, Acorn/SEIU, Unions and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered lobby it will take you a decade in office to pay back your new masters.

Tom Shields thought he could fool the voters, but his deceitful, sneaky scheme has been exposed!

Bachmann Urges Governor Pawlenty to Appoint Special Inspector General to Investigate ACORN's Minnesota Activities

(Washington, D.C.) U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (MN-06), yesterday urged Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty to appoint a special inspector general to investigate and fully audit ACORN’s Minnesota affiliates and the national organization’s operations within Minnesota.

“I appreciate you taking immediate action to protect Minnesota’s taxpayers by prohibiting ACORN from accessing any further state funding,” wrote Bachmann. “But, Minnesota must also take the next step to ensure Minnesotans that all state funds and federal funds used by ACORN affiliates in Minnesota have been used properly.

Drawing on testimony by ACORN whistleblowers and findings from an internal audit by attorney Elizabeth Kinglsey, presented to ACORN in June 2008, Bachmann noted the lack of firewalls between political and nonpolitical operations at ACORN. Given ACORN’s strong electioneering presence in Minnesota in 2007-08 and its acceptance of $109,000 in state funds through 2008, Bachmann notes that, “a proper accounting of these state funds is warranted.”

Bachmann urges the Governor to appoint a special inspector general to ensure that the appearance of impartiality and objectivity in this investigation be maintained. She details involvement by both Attorney General Lori Swanson and Secretary of State mark Richie with ACORN activities in her letter.

Full text of the letter provided below:

October 5, 2009

Governor Tim Pawlenty
130 State Capitol
75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
St. Paul, MN 55155

Dear Governor Pawlenty,

As you know, ACORN has earned a reputation with the public for extremely poor systemic controls that have led to persistent unethical behavior and repeated disregard for voter registration and other federal and state laws. Recent videos showing ACORN employees giving advice on how to set up a prostitution ring as a legal enterprise by violating tax and immigration laws and abusing government housing grants have really only been the icing on the cake of years of flagrant abuse of the public trust.

I appreciate you taking immediate action to protect Minnesota’s taxpayers by prohibiting ACORN from accessing any further state funding, and I appreciate that you have requested the Minnesota Management and Budget Department to conduct “a thorough review of the state’s relationship with [ACORN],” but Minnesota must also take the next step to ensure Minnesotans that all state funds and federal funds used by ACORN affiliates in Minnesota have been used properly. To that end, I urge you to appoint a special inspector general to investigate and fully audit ACORN’s Minnesota affiliates and the national organization’s operations within Minnesota so that we may gain a true understanding of how the organization has used taxpayer funding in the past.

Amongst other serious breaches in organizational structure and legal compliance, an internal audit conducted by attorney Elizabeth Kingsley and reported to ACORN on June 19, 2008, found that internal controls at ACORN did not appropriately firewall the various affiliates and separate out its various non-profit and electioneering functions. ACORN whistleblowers, including Minnesota’s own Karen Inman, have made similar allegations about “the lack of any apparent firewall between ACORN’s political and nonpolitical operations,” and the fact that funds “were comingled between various nonprofit and taxable ACORN affiliates.” (At ACORN, a reflexive impulse to cover up instead of investigate, Karen Inman, MPR, 5 October 2009)

There is more than ample evidence in press reports from 2008 that ACORN’s affiliates played an active role in the 2008 election in Minnesota. In fact, Anita MonCrief, another ACORN whistleblower, wrote in 2008, “During 2007 ACORN’s sister organization Project Vote began operating what some would consider to be a national office out of Minnesota.” The Star-Tribune reported, “More than 43,000 Minnesotans have registered to vote this year through ACORN.” (The campaign trail: Voter sign-up sets off a furor, Kevin Diaz, 24 October 2008) That same article also quoted Kevin Whelan, ACORN’s deputy political director, as saying that in 2008, “the group has hired more than 300 voter registration canvassers in Minnesota as part of a $500,000 campaign conducted mostly in the Twin Cities.” It has been reported that from 1996 to 2008, ACORN and its affiliate, ACORN Housing, received $109,000 in state funds. Given what Ms. Kingsley found in her audit of ACORN’s practices and what Ms. Inman discovered as a member of ACORN’s national board, a proper accounting of these state funds seems more than warranted.
Furthermore, Minnesota’s own Secretary of State, Mark Ritchie, and Minnesota Attorney General, Lori Swanson, have close ties to ACORN, which could contribute to an appearance of impropriety and taint any involvement that they might have in a full state audit of ACORN’s activities. For instance, during his 2006 campaign, Secretary Ritchie was endorsed by the Minnesota ACORN Political Action Committee, and he received political contributions from them. Attorney General Swanson has been questioned by a legislative auditor for her role in diverting funds from a settlement with Capitol One Bank to ACORN in 2006. According to an article in the Star Tribune, about two-thirds of the settlement for $749,999 – which clearly was intended to skirt the law that requires any settlement funds of $750,000 or more go back to the state – was distributed to non-profit organizations, including ACORN. (AG office queried about diverted funds, Pat Doyle, 30 June 2008) And, ACORN’s Financial Justice Center graded Lori Swanson as one of only a few “A+” attorneys general in the nation in 2008. (MarketWatch, 5 October 2009)

A special inspector general would allow the state to delve into all of the critical issues while also removing any appearance of impropriety or partisanship from this important inquiry. I know you agree that ACORN’s pattern of behavior is unacceptable and Minnesotans applaud you for immediately taking action to ban ACORN from receiving their state tax dollars. I urge you to ensure that a full inquiry is conducted

I appreciate your consideration of this request and look forward to continuing to work together to protect taxpayers in the future. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Michele Bachmann
Member of Congress

cc: Mark Ritchie, Minnesota Secretary of State
Lori Swanson, Minnesota Attorney General

Tom Shields Behind in Sign War

ShieldsAcorn
Driving around the 73rd District yesterday, I couldn’t help but notice the Delegate O’Bannon signs were everywhere. They outnumbered even the Bob McDonnell signs, but not by much.

In an unscientific canvasing, I counted the O’Bannon and Shields signs. What I found surprised me. O’Bannon won hands down, but second place was taken by the Long and Foster signs.

And there are not that many houses for sale in the 73rd.

I suppose the Acorn support and the revelation that Shields’ support for all things sexual extends beyond Gay and Lesbians just might have people moving as far away from Shields as possible. While Shields supports helping ensure your neighbors are all soon Mr. and Mr. Jones, his affinity for abnormal sexuality also extends to Bisexuals and Transgendered people. So you may be looking at Mr. and Mrs. all in one person. Or Mr. and Mrs. and Mr. Jones.

Funny how Shields always mumbles LGBT when he talks about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered groups. One of the ladies at St. Mary’s church asked him what he mumbled at last night’s debate. When one of the audience members said “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered” and audible gasp filled the room. I mean, gay and lesbian is still not quite mainstream in Virginia, but far more tame than the latter half of the LGBT group.

People were truly shocked.

I will have to make a note to ask Shields at the next debate if his support extends to The North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), the group that:

advocates the liberalization of laws against sexual relations between adult and minor males – resolving to “end the oppression of men and boys who have freely chosen mutually consenting relationships”.

Should they be protected against discrimination as well? Sounds like the same sort of thing Shields supports now.

Shields still has not answered the Acorn child prostitution questions, either. But we may have our answer now.

Tom Shields Supporters Admit to Deceiving Seniors in 73rd House Race

ShieldsAcorn
Recently, a self professed supporter of Democrat Tom Shields has been posting some rather curious comments on several of my posts concerning Shields and his ties to Acorn. He goes by the name Alter of Freedom and that is apparently the name of his blog. Some of his comments give details of the results of canvasing Tom Shields has done, and the Blog has numerous pro Shields posts.

One of the more disturbing revelations in these comments is Alter’s claim that they are telling retired seniors to blame Delegate O’Bannon because they have not received their State tax refunds.

Alter commented:

By the way I spoke with about two dozen “retired” folks in the 73rd that as of yet still have not received that State Tax refund…..ummm guess who they blame for that…and it ain’t Tom Shields….I guess the shortfall is worse than O’Bannon has been saying….

So, a supporter claiming to be on the inside of the Shields campaign is telling retired seniors that their refunds are being held up for a lack of State funds, and Delegate O’Bannon is to blame. In an email, Alter claims he has told the retired seniors:

“I have informed them to repeatedly, as in daily, to call their Delegate.”

Note: The email is printed below minus personal info.

In a reply to his notion that O’Bannon is to blame for late tax refunds I replied:

And a State Tax Refund? They are all pushed out and no refund is being held up for lack of money in Virginia. California, yes. But the one in charge of the VA DOT is the Governor and the Treasurer. So, I would guess Tim Kaine and Jody Wagner are who they blame. Democrats all. Delegate O’Bannon has nothing at all to do with the Dept. of Taxation. He is a lawmaker, part of the Legislative Branch. The Va Dept of Taxation is part of the Executive branch of State Government.

And if anyone has filed a tax return and it has been several weeks, they need to call the Dept. of Taxation to find out what is wrong. My refund took just over a week. I filed electronically.

Delegate O’Bannon can give them the same info I just gave you, but he is not authorized to write a tax refund.

And I asked Alter to send me their names:

Send me the names and numbers of the three who have not received their tax refunds and I will see that they receive help. I can’t go to any Delegate or Senator, because of the privacy act. But I can advise them who to contact. Or, Dr. O’Bannon’s office could do the same thing.

Tom Shields needs to get control of these people that are working for him. While Alter may be totally clueless, to continue allowing these types of blatant lies to be spread by his workers is a level of dishonesty I have not seen since… well since looking at the Acorn tapes exposing the same deceptive practices that Acorn employs.

No wonder Tom Shields refuses to repudiate Acorn and his mentor, Congressman Bobby Scott. He obviously approves of this type of dishonesty.

If there are any Seniors living in the 73rd that have not received their State tax refunds, and filed in May (as Alter claims), you should immediately visit the Department of Taxation’s WhereIsMyRefund website or call them at (804) 367-2486.

And do not believe the misinformation from Tom Shields workers that any member of the House of Delegates or State Senate is holding up any money due to you by the state. This claim is not only ridiculous, it is completely false.

Shame on Shields for these Acorn like tactics.

Below is the email I received from Alter of Freedom:

I have forward you info to those concerned. It is up to them whether they wish to proceed. I was asked how “credible” you may be and frankly I really do not know you or your heart enough to give you there emails so they can contact you should they choose. I will leave it up to them. I have informed them to repeatedly, as in daily, to call their Delegate.

The person whom I think will certainly contact you is the former Director of Risk Management for the Commonwealth of Virginia who now retired lives in the 73rd….

As to the canvassing, the list comprised identifies those homes of “likely voters” who were engaged and either were undecided or “leaning” but not sure regarding their vote…..as to visiting three times….thats called follow-up….and frankly the same tact worked wonderfully during the Webb campaign. I would know. I can attest for some ten thousand meet & greet on the doorstep late summer 2006 and for seeing Chesterfield cast more votes for a Democrat for Senator in a long long time….it may not be the best strategy to underestimate campiagns.

By the way, how many of those “facebook friends” belong to the GOP committee in Henrico (GOP Henrico) and I wonder what the demo is…..the 73rd I would bet you has a significant number of voters in the higher demo that really is not the facebook crowd. How many “individuals” have contributed to O’Bannon in relation to his corporateand special interest donors Tom……thats hardly a netroots or grassroots value…………………….
