I had forgotten about this video I took at CPAC in 2010. Andrew Breitbart came to the Blogger’s Lounge and was talking to the bloggers about Acorn and a variety of other things. The video is about 20 minutes and at the time, YouTube did not allow videos that long, so I posted it on [...]

Ron Paul sat out this year’s CPAC. In past years, Paul has stacked the deck with his faithful and won the CPAC beauty contest. So, the results were always perceived as somewhat tainted. Of course, when it comes to organizing the base, you must give Ron Paul an A+, but I believe even the supporters [...]

A couple of early visitors walked through the blogger’s lounge. Senator Jim DeMint rocked the house and took a few minutes to talk to the bloggers. A while later, Governor Rick Perry walked through and answered questions.

By Michael Couvillion Who are those with principles in the evolving Republican Party? The youth! It is the older generation which finds fascination with grand oratory and great hair. Please, look only to the recent gathering at CPAC 2011 for the required evidence. The young, who created record attendance at this conservative event, seek no [...]

Sitting in the blogger’s lounge and roaming about at CPAC 2011, the rule is ‘always have a camera at the ready’. You just never know who you will come across. Here are a few photos I managed to take at the Conservative event. Ok, I admit. Robert Stacy McCain of The Other McCain is not [...]

Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) visited the Bloggers Lounge at CPAC 2011 and took the time to sit down and discuss any issue bloggers wished to discuss. Of course, repealing ObamaCare is one of Congressman King’s pet projects and I asked him questions with a Virginia twist. No surprise, Congressman King is a big fan of [...]

There were a lot of Ron Paul supporters at CPAC 2011 this year. That is nothing new. And the fanatical attraction is completely understandable with a few caveats. One of the most glaring issues many people take with Congressman Paul is not Paul himself, but the supporters. Not all of them, mind you. I happen [...]

While strolling through the Exhibition Hall at CPAC 2011 in Washington DC I happened upon my friend and fellow blogger Rick Sincere who was kind enough to introduce me to Gary Johnson (who came in 3rd in the CPAC Straw Poll). Rick was kind enough to hold the camera while I asked a couple of [...]

That pronouncement was met with a loud roar by the pro-Paul CPAC crowd. Donald Trump spoke about how America has become the whipping post and laughing stock of the world. HE stopped just a bit short of announcing his candidacy for President in 2012.

Well, here we are less than a week from CPAC 2011, and the excitement is in the air. Especially in the Blogosphere. Alcohol will be involved, of that I am sure. Last year, several CPAC bloggers were accused of BWI (Blogging While Intoxicated), but none were ever convicted. Between now and next Thursday morning may [...]

One of the brightest moments of the CPAC experience last week was when 14 year old Johnathan Krohn addressed the crowd. I was returning from lunch and made it back just in time to hear him speak as I walked across the Ballroom towards Blogger’s Lounge.
If you want to know if we have hope for the next generation, as Hannity says, let not your heart be troubled.
This young man gets it!

Editor’s Note: One of the greatest benefits to attending an event like CPAC is the wealth of people one meets. One of the more interesting people I met at the three day conference was Dr. John Press. We attended a blogger “meet and greet” on Friday sponsored by Campaign for Liberty. Dr. Press is a culturist and a History of Education Curriculum Designer at Empire State College SUNY and Adjunct Professor, Vaughn Aeronautics College. He has a blog on Culturism and is the author of “Culturism: A Word, A Value, Our Future.” www.culturism.us has more information about culturism.
