No it is not a science fiction novel or even the new dystopian libertarian-themed movie. And man, it took more time and effort than I want to admit…
2813 is the approximate number of voters in the Ninth State Senate district who voted (in a close election in a battleground state) for Libertarian Gary Johnson.
From:
Richmond City (1366) Henrico (1182) Hanover (198) Charles City (67)
If every one of those Johnson voters voted Tuesday for Corey Fauconier there would be an excellent chance of an upset. If all those voters were added to say 20% of the Deplorables who voted for Trump in the district, Corey should win.
I fully understand that not every Gary Johnson voter voted for libertarian ideals; however, they voted for principle and did so with some courage. (Maybe a few figured Hillary would carry Virginia no matter what but I’d suggest that is not a lot of voters.) That courage is needed again.
So I encourage and exhort all the Gary Johnson voters (and the McMullin/Stein voters) and the Trump voters, as well, to take a few minutes and vote Tuesday for Corey Fauconier. You can affect Virginia politics for good.
