A few thoughts on various items:

  1. The Bergdahl disaster:  I have two huge issues with this thing and the most important is the swap of five Taliban leaders who are a danger to the nation for any US POW.  I am gravely concerned that this has emboldened the Taliban and other terror groups to take US hostages to empty the remaining prisoners at Gitmo.  I would also honor former President George W. Bush in that he freed many of the Gitmo detainees and I heard on Fox News (I think it was Fox News) that 29% of the detainees have returned to fight against the US.  I would have a rule:  Any Gitmo detainee who is freed and returns to terrorism should be slated for execution in covert actions.

But while I am concerned that Bergdahl might have acted oddly or maybe illegally, and that is my second concern, I advise that we all withhold judgment until it is better determined.  I would not want to make it worse for him or his family.

  1. One of my many commenters on my many UKIP articles asked me:  What about the Indian election?

It’s a good question.  I am also withholding judgment on the new PM until I see more.  I am amazed about his election and the breath of that election.  Much of it was a rejection of the corruption and incompetence of the former leader.  While Hindu nationalism does not inherently concern me, I am concerned that there will be attacks on Christians.

  1. I am listening to the SC GOP Senate debate.  It is anybody but Senator Graham for me.  Graham is for a Mark of the Beast type of biometric ID card for all US workers, NDAA, depriving US citizens of lawyers and civilian jury trials if they are suspected of terrorism, interventionism in many places and other issues.  I think at this point I prefer Senator Lee Bright.

4.  I just read the Puckett resignation!  I am mulling on this…
