ATTENTION STUDENTS: It is OK & LEGAL to Celebrate Christmas at School!

A nonprofit legal organization has sent a memo to 13,000 public school districts advising them that students and staff have the right to celebrate the Christmas season.

Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Matt Sharp says every year his firm sees the same old myths about how it isn’t permissible for students and staff to present Christian music in programs or cooperate with ministries that are providing food and gifts to the needy.

Sharp said, “We wanted to send out this memorandum to all of the school districts across the country, letting them know that the Constitution doesn’t forbid celebration of Christmas, or recognition of traditional Christmas carols, or collecting Christmas gifts for the needy with religious organizations,” he says.
