I had been hearing soundings for several days about a Robert Sarvis Money Bomb and now I can report: It’s here.
Money will certainly help the Libertarian standard-bearer in two ways: It gets his message out and it raises his polling numbers and overall viability to get in the debates. I in fact heard at an event Democrat Terry McAuliffe say that he’d be glad to debate Sarvis.
If you think there should be a libertarian message, you got to pay to play. Sarvis’ goal is $100,000. He has $1,700 as of 10 pm today.
Remember, the 1988 Libertarian candidate and hero of liberty, former Cong. Ron Paul’s birthday is today. This week is also the 22nd anniversary of the (thank Jesus!) unsuccessful coup in the former Soviet Union and the fall of communism in Europe. That could be seen as worthy for a donation.
I’ll keep track of the results here at VA RIGHT!
As of 743am August 21 the turnout was only $2,070! Not encouraging.
As of 807am August 22 the turnout was only $4,680. I can only wonder: What would have happened if Robert Sarvis had gotten say $500,000 these last two days? Media attention and a fund for an extensive media buy. Serious attention. This is a lost opportunity. However, if you decide to donate you can do so after the money bomb is over.
