Blue Virginia’s Lowell Feld (Lowell Fallen?) Only The Tip Of Democratic Racism Iceberg

Dr. Christopher Metzler suffers racial attacks from the Left

Yep. Blue Virginia’s resident racist Lowell Feld is back at his hypocritical race baiting. Imagine, a racist like Lowell calling out Bob McDonnell? After Lowell re-tweeted racist jokes making fun of slaves. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black (pun intended).

Now, continuing the racist trend of the Democratic Party, On The Right has a post written by Frances Rice linking the KKK to the Democratic Party.

And Monica Crowley has a report on Big Government Dot Com detailing the devastating racist attacks on Dr. Christopher Metzler, Associate Dean of Continuing Studies at Georgetown University after appearing on Fox News and speaking out against the Health Care Reform bill and President Obama’s agenda in general. Metzler, an African American, is apparently not allowed to think for himself.

Visit Monica Crowley’s link to hear the voice mail recordings from Dr. Metzler’s voice mail.

WARNING: The callers use Racism and Profanity, including the “F” word. Please listen in an appropriate setting.

And in what can only be described as a repudiation of racists like Lowell Feld at Blue Virginia, Monica Crowley writes:

As Metzler explained to me, the Left engages in exactly the kind of disgusting, racist behavior which they unfairly and incorrectly accuse the Tea Party and all others who oppose Obama of engaging in. Unlike the Left, Metzler actually has the evidence to prove it. During his stunning interview, Metzler exposes the Left’s hypocrisy and dishonesty—and its very real racism.

Listen to the interview today:

You can hear the entire interview, along with Metzler’s response to the racist voicemail messages he’s received, on this weekend’s “Monica Crowley Show,” heard nationally and on 77WABC in New York from 1pm to 4pm ET (www.WABCRadio.com).

    Tom,

Racism exists on all sides of the political spectrum. Is not just trying to call the Democrats the party of racists just beneath the dignity of politics (Yes I know there is hardly any dignity left in politics, but still…)?

I really don’t think Lowell Feld is racist, though that “joke” probably shows that he has poor taste and judgment and the fact that he found it “funny” may also show poor character, but hey, different people laugh at different things.

The point is that racism isn’t solved by just using it as another quiver in the political arsenal from which to attack the other side with. When we denigrate Racism to just a political tactic, what honor is left in our political system? I feel sorry for any racist event Dr. Metzer had to go through, but the thing is, they ought not be used for political gain or a charge of guilt-by-association for an entire political party.

Can’t we just agree that these types of tactics – trying to use racism for political gain – is beneath us?

Venu, you are a wise soul, my friend. Day after day sanctimonious white people on the left – Lowell Feld being a prime example – use the race card to disparage Conservatives, often twisting totally innocuous statements and events in an attempt to advance their own political causes.

So, when I find proof that one of these sanctimonious – WHITE – race baiters – is guilty of racism himself, I feel it is my duty to point out his hypocrisy and his own bigotry.

I know you have a left lean to your philosophy, but I am curious why the day after day racial pot stirring by Feld does not motivate you to make the same sort of comment on Blue Virginia?

The fact is, I am sick of the constant drone of racial accusations from the left that have no merit, for the most part, with the only goal of making people hate Conservatives.

There is no attempt to heal racism in what Feld does. It is simply another weapon he likes to use to attack others and hide the racism within his own party.

And the delicious irony is there are far more racists in the Democratic party than in the Republican party.

These constant charges of manufactured racism are due to the fear that more and more African-Americans are seeing the Democrats for what they are.

    Closet Racists.

Well, Lowell just tweeted himself out of the closet.

    Tom,

Firstly, I have to admit I follow Blue Virginia less since its move to SoapBlox. Also, I commented hear because I know you genuinely dislike racial and identity politics. Lowell may not frankly care, but I know you only bring up the point to defend your position and say, “YOU’RE the racist Mr. Feld!”. However, an equally acceptable (and probably better) defense of your positions would be to distance yourself from the politics Lowell is trying to pull with his “You’re a racist” ploy.

Also, I agree that Lowell’s tweet was offensive (though mildly amusing to see him say something so stupid), and I may have never heard of it had you not posted it (I don’t follow twitter, and especially not bloggers’ twitter). The only thing I would caution against is trying to justify employing the same politics by saying the left did it as well. May be, but it doesn’t make trying to tie the entire opposition to racism justified. In addition, I’ve always been critical of Lowell’s tying Republicans to extremists in the party (Though maybe Lowell has a forgetful memory because he seemed to blast me for implicating that he was trying to push a negative tone in the 2009 GOV Race: http://bluevablog.blogspot.com/2010/03/pointless-babble-and-self-promotion-in.html). I just gave up on Lowell feeling that trying to run on a negative, slander-based, mud-slinging and non-issues oriented dialogue was a bad idea.
