CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? The PRESIDENT and former UTAH GOVERNOR JON HUNTSMAN says UK ought to stay in the EU!

It’s amazing and appalling.  The Obama Administration has basically threatened the UK – stay in the EU or risk free trade with the USA!

Here’s the story:

Britain risks losing out on £10billion a year in trade deals if the UK withdraws from the European Union, the Obama administration has warned.

***

In a warning shot, they have made clear they would be very unlikely to strike a separate deal with Britain if the UK votes to quit the EU.

***

But US officials have told the Mail that many US Congressmen, keen to protect local industries from competition from Europe, are suspicious of the plans.

I could say can kill two birds with one stone – the UK out of the EU superempire and stop the US/EU trade treaty.  But it is meddling, pure and simple.  I am amazed but not surprised.  This administration has endorsed global, sovereignty-killing trade deals such as the TransPacific Partnership in the past!
I also am not surprised that former GOP Presidential candidate and Utah Governor and Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman also calls for (The Financial Times is a pay site) the UK to stay in the EU. Huntsman contends that the UK can help the EU more by remaining in it.  He also tries to contend (don’t laugh too hard, it might hurt) that the US-EU trade deal is better for the sovereignty of the UK!
When it comes to sovereignty, I am sorry, I trust neither the Obama adminstration nor Jon Huntsman.  Huntsman was the Utah Governor who signed the unconstitutional so-called climate change confederation with other states, at least one Mexican state and one Canadian province:

The WCI began in February 2007 when the Governors of Arizona, California, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington signed an agreement directing their respective states to develop a regional target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, participate in a multi-state registry to track and manage greenhouse gas emissions in the region, and develop a market-based program to reach the target.

The WCI built on existing greenhouse gas reduction efforts in the individual states as well as two existing regional efforts. In 2003, California, Oregon and Washington created the West Coast Global Warming Initiative, and in 2006, Arizona and New Mexico launched the Southwest Climate Change Initiative.

During 2007 and 2008, the Premiers of British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec, and the Governors of Montana and Utah joined the original five states in committing to tackle climate change at a regional level.  All 11 jurisdictions collaborated in the development of the Design for the WCI Regional Program, which was released in July 2010.

Somebody needs to ask Governor Huntsman how he squares the WCI with the Constitution’s prohibition on alliances, treaties and confederations with foreign governments.  This shows Americans:  UKIP’s battle is yours.  Better stand with sovereignty or we will lose our rights and freedoms.

I feel like you misunderstand. If the UK withdraws from the EU, any trade deals we have with the EU overnight will stop applying to the UK. Therefore, everything would have to be renegotiated. This is why I simply don’t understand the movement to pull the UK out of the EU. The UK has enough political clout to simply refuse to comply with threats to sovereignty or interference with the justice system with no penalties whatsoever and they would still manage to retain the economic bonus.

From a purely logical standpoint, the UK gains nothing by leaving the EU and can retain the economic advantage and simply block sovereignty threats by staying in the EU. Therefore, can there really be any reason to leave?
