Drudge is reporting that Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is one of the finalists for the VP nomination.
That is an interesting choice. Mitt Romney needs someone with experience, knowledge and conservative credentials to boost his stock with the base and bring Independents and women over to the former Massachusetts Governor’s side.
We know Condi. Very smart woman. And far more Libertarian than Republican.
I already said very smart woman, but that deserves reiterating.
The only thing that Conservatives will initially find a bit off with this potential choice is the fact that Rice is Pro-Choice. But that is the Libertarian in her.
And the fact that she is black is also a plus. Contrary to the image of Conservatives that Liberals love to push, we are not racists. We don’t like Obama because of his Marxist ways. Not the color of his skin. Most Republicans have already come around to Dr. Martin Luther King’s method of judgement of a person. Character over color.
I think that Condi Rice would make a wonderful Vice President choice even though I am Pro-Life. And I also believe that she would make a great President.
And did I mention she is wicked smart?
Marco Rubio is also a great choice I would have no problem with. And I could see either in the Oval Office without missing a beat if it came to that.
