I posted some time ago an unconfirmed report on Sarasota County, Florida having left ICLEI.

WELL, it’s true!  I received a letter from Sarasota County to Martin J. Chavez, Executive Director of ICLEI-USA dated May 2, 2011.  Highlights:

“Due to budget constraints and realigned priorities, Sarasota County must cancel its membership from ICLEI USA.”

This is a great victory for all the patriots, tea party and sovereignty activists in southwest Florida!  Here’s news of an anti-Agenda 21 rally tomorrow in Sarasota.  Sarasota County has nearly 380,000 residents no longer under the thrall of a unconstitutional confederation.  Ring the bell of liberty!

But as wonderful as this is, Sarasota County government has not renounced sustainability.  The fight continues.
