That little church that could is doing it again: Making a full-length, faith-based movie. This time it’s about dads and kids and it involves police officers. Courageous appears to be the best effort so far and that is saying something. The movie also SAYS something (I have not yet seen it and do not expect to see it before September 30 as I am just a little bitty blogger!) and is explicitly Christian and Biblical.
I am excited about believers doing movies and being true to their faith. Movies are powerful media to convey a message. They can tell a compelling story. Think about Citizen Kane for example. How powerful is the message that Kane was happiest when he was a child, playing with Rosebud the sled.
Courageous can do that – send a powerful message. I believe in what Sherwood is doing; we as Christians can vote with our dollars for good, right things. This is a good chance to do so. Go see Courageous. You’re liable to be convicted to be a better dad but go anyway! Here is the webpage!
