DEM LEADER IS PLAYING DIRTY POOL IN ALBEMARLE ICLEI FIGHT! THE SCHILLING SHOW REPORTS!

The Schilling Show blog (The Schilling Show is a talk show in Charlottesville on WINA 1070 am from noon to 2 pm hosted by a former City Councilman, Rob Schilling, who is libertarian/conservative; it is basically Radio Free Charlottesville!) is reporting that a leading Charlottesville Democrat is encouraging non-county residents to be ringers at the Albemarle County BOCS meeting on June 8.  Here’s are pertinent quotes from an email from Jason Halbert extensively quoted by the Schilling Show blog:

Here’s what you can do:

1. Whether you live in the County or not, you can write to the Board: bos@albemarle.org If you live in or pay taxes in the County, please say so.

2. Attend the June 8th meeting at the Albemarle County office building. WE NEED TO PACK THE PLACE!

3. Forward this to friends, especially those in the County.

This is dirty pool, folks.  I have not encouraged non-county residents to attend the meeting on June 8.  Those at the meeting from the Tea Party ought to get the presiding officer to make sure those who rise in support of ICLEI, etc. to identify themselves as COUNTY residents.

I do agree with the local Dems on the need to pack the place (with COUNTY RESIDENTS) opposed to the sovereignty killing, unconstitutional ICLEI!  I also agree that county residents should email their board member.

Here’s some other points worth considering from Halbert’s six points:

1.  The vast majority he cites for planning by government is not support for ICLEI or Agenda 21.

2.  “Sustainability is a good thing.”  I agree actually.  It is good to recycle and conserve resources.  I disagree that government should mandate it.  That is the goal of ICLEI and Agenda 21.

3.  Nothing wrong with planning together; I’d take the grant money and use it to have a plan that the people can use and is supportive of “…life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…”

4-5.  The Cool County designation is through ICLEI.  ICLEI is not a constitutional organization for Albemarle or any other county to join.  Here’s ICLEI’s goals right from their website (They just cannot stop digging a deeper hole for themselves!):

International Goals
Our programs, and projects promote participatory, long-term, strategic planning process that address local sustainability while protecting global common goods. This approach links local action to internationally agreed-upon goals and targets such as: (emphasis added)

So Albemarle County as an ICLEI member agrees to INTERNATIONAL GOALS!  (AND Agenda 21!)  The Cool County designation is part of that goal.  I would add that so-called climate change is unproven science being used to seek global governance through the use of a pending so-called climate crisis.  No way!

They must be worried about the results if they are trying to get ringers to go to the meeting.  As they used to say in high school:  GO! FIGHT! WIN!
