A leading LibDem PM who is a minister in the Coalition government, Energy Secretary Chris Huhne, suggested that euroskeptic Tories have been infected with the “tea party tendency” and may even mention (gasp!) Sarah Palin!  (At least President Palin wouldn’t have taken over the healthcare system, attacked Libya, sicced the NLRB on business, engaged in class warfare, asked Israel to consider its pre-1967 borders, etc.  And she’s the stupid one?)  All this rhetorical firepower in scheduled in a speech to be given (may already by now be given) to the LibDem party conference:

Conservative right-wingers will today be branded the “Tea Party tendency” by Chris Huhne, the Energy Secretary, in his keynote speech to the Liberal Democrat conference.

In another sign that the Lib Dems are distancing themselves from their coalition partners, Mr Huhne will criticise the Tory MPs who are calling for Britain to exploit the eurozone crisis by grabbing back some powers from Brussels.
