Feed, Help and Love

You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about. That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”

Hillary Rodham Clinton.
I will let that quote sink in.
It has been a few weeks since the all important 2018 Mid Term Election. The question is what do we stand for? Better yet, what do you read, research and digest BEFORE you come to a conclusion about what you stand for?
In my house we watch mainstream media to get the word. Next maybe onto Google to check how we can come to some further understanding. Maybe links to the County Board of Supervisors, City Council, General Assembly, Congress or White House. Then onto the independent media. It is what mainstream media calls the conspiracy theorist. I may be lumped into that category since I am a Libertarian (in the last few months feeling like I am somewhere lost between the L.P. and the GOP, maybe a “liberty leaning Republican) and I contribute to Virginia Right. We like to consider ourselves “truth seekers”.
I want the truth. Good, bad or indifferent. Tell me what I am working with so, I may make the best informed decision for me. Mainstream media does not do that. They paint a narrative and spoon feed you what they want you to know. Like they want to form your opinion for you. But, if this is the so called land of the free……why can’t I form my own opinion?
I have a friend at work who I will call Bee. Bee and I would talk in passing and through her I met her husband Tye. Of late after friending Tye on social media, I notice he too is in search of the truth. Tye is a music producer so, I know we started talking after Bee advised, “Hey Corey, you and my husband should connect, he loves music also.”
I spoke to Tye at length yesterday. Great conversation. Very eloquent in his presentation of how he felt and his search for the truth. You see Tye advised he changed when he became a father. He understood that raising up a child took the best man he could be. So, he started on his quest to be the best he could be.
Looking for spirituality not religion. Religion is one of those things that divides us. And Black preachers want to use religion for power to control the people.
Look at any Black community laying and its condition right now. New York, Chicago, Richmond, Los Angeles, Newark, East Orange government run by Democrats. Schools are a mess, government spending out of control, crime. You name it, it is a mess. But, the Democrats in control are telling their constituents that the Republicans are racist and the Libertarian Party is a wasted vote. But in the immortal words of Former Libertarian Candidate for Governor of New York Larry Sharpe, “When someone tells you, you’re wasting your vote, recognize they don’t care about you. It’s a selfish statement. They are saying your views are not worth being represented, that you should silence your voice so theirs can be louder. Vote your conscience not someone else’s politics.”
And then we make fun of any celebrity who tries to walk across and connect with the Republican Party. Steve Harvey who I saw on social media morphed into a raccoon (or Coon Harvey). Kanye West the subject of all black and white conservative punch lines with “Koonye”.
I am very embarrassed of my people at this point in time. I believe in Liberty. Your decision to believe what you want as long as you don’t make me do things I don’t want to do. But, looking at the Democratic Party, that is all they want to do. Call Republicans racists, take your gun rights, open the boarders let everyone come on in. Naw fam, I am good. (Urban for no sir, I am fine here where I am). Then on top of that, they do this voter fraud thing if they are unable to redistrict in time. I look at Black Democrats the same way that Black Democrats look at the Confederate Flag. I grew up in a Black section of Queens, I followed the Rastafarian faith for 18 years, I went to a Historical Black College. I am black! If you can’t see that, well I am not going to explain that to you. I am going to get out here and do what I think needs to be done. What needs to be done is respecting other people’s opinion.
Tye shared three words, “Feed people, help people, love people.”
Feed people truth, give them the information they need to make an educated decision. Help people who you come into contact with whom you can help. To ask someone for help when you have a problem is humbling. So if someone does ask you for help, please help them or help them find the help they need.
The most difficult thing is love. Loving people who may not love you or love what you believe. A few people that I have come in contact with over the last few years like Sandy Sanders, Robert Sarvis and Dr. James Lark are shining examples of love. Not being angry when people do not see things in their way. But, bringing proof and facts in order that someone who may not see things from your perspective would still be enlightened by your point of view even if they may not agree.
Going into 2019, my plan is to work towards enlightening people to see things from another perspective without being angry. I am looking forward to what great things may come. For the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as the United States of America.

Great column Mr. Fauconier, excellent observations .

Last year we had a presentation at one of our meetings on the state of Charter Schools here in Virginia. We have a grand total of six across the entire State.

It all starts there, the indoctrination of young children , and let’s call it what it is—indoctrination—-and it has to be arrested and reversed.

So long as the individual members of the G.A are beholden to the VDEA Virginia’s school children who attend public schools don’t have a chance. North Carolina has some 160 Charter schools so why is Virginia so slow in advancing real competition ? Education Lobby is the second most powerful lobby in America, perhaps one of the strongest in Virginia

Critical thinking skills have been lost. It isn’t taught in the schools and if any child isn’t being taught it by their parents they become sheep, just the type of citizen the left so dearly loves.
God Bless you Mr. Fauconier for working to educate the masses.
