Hanover County we have a problem with Delegate Chris Peace

On Feb. 22 a group of conservatives went to visit the office of Chris Peace in the Gen. Assembly Building. Represented were folks from two Tea Parties, Americans for Prosperity and the Va. Tea Party Federation.

It was a day when Medicaid Expansion was being considered for vote and we wanted to voice our opinion to Del. Peace. It was the day we were delivering 11 thousand letters of opposition to Medicaid Expansion to Delegates and Senators from constituents across Va. It was a day when many were seeing their Representatives and they knew we were coming. As we progressed down the hall Del. Peace”s Legislative Assistant leaned out of the room, saw us coming and shut the door! No explanation or reason! We had the receptionist call and the response was “She is writing a letter and can’t be bothered now”. On Feb. 5 a similar incident occurred when we tried to meet with Del. Peace. Neither the Del. or his assistant were available. So much for transparency and the open door policy Del. Peace claims he supports.

I have observed, when when voting on important controversial issues like Medicaid Expansion, many politicians vote based on what will help them get reelected.

The problem is this incident is not the first the first nor will be the last. The problem is Del. Peace is not getting the message from his constituency because he has chosen not to be available to listen.

The problem is there is an unacceptable level of arrogance and rudeness in his office that has been there for some time and is not likely to change.

Tom, it is you and “your” people who are not “getting the message”. The proof of that being the fact that Del. Peace continues to easily win re-election.

Massive increases in the cost of healthcare are continuing under the Trump admin. Virginia has pissed away over $10 BILLION dollars thanks to the ignorant and stupid R base.

So, there you have it. The facts and numbers do not lie. Can you say the same about your writing? I rarely contact Del. Peace any longer because just like you and “your” people, I am in the minority. But, not for being ignorant and stupid about Mecicaid expansion. I believe in the right and the wrong, not the right vs. the left.

Also, if you do not like the way Del. Peace votes, then why don’t you just throw money at PAC’s? Then you can get whatever you want, and its all corrupt, but 100% legal.

They said the same thing about Cantor. Peace has never had a serious challenger.

And we still have Obamacare. The big government senators voted to keep it. Obama blamed Bush for everything that didn’t go his way. Trump does not. But in the case of ObamaCare, that IS Obama’s fault. And in case you haven’t noticed, everything Trump does ends up in front of an Obama activist and unconstitutional judge. We can’t lower health care costs as long as we have to pay for millions of illegal aliens. I have no doubt that these suits will end in defeat for the Democrats at the Supreme Court, but this rope a dope technique is designed to drag out Trump’s fixes. Obama stacked the courts intentionally. But this study shows you that Obamacare is responsible https://www.heritage.org/health-care-reform/report/how-obamacare-raised-premiums

I am curious. Do you think ANY president can wave his hand and magically fix something like health care costs? Obamacare was intentionally given tentacles to make it impossible to get rid of. And to increase costs and lower care so much that government provided health care would be the only answer. Before it can be fixed, it has to be extracted. Trump is doing that. But health care costs will continue on the Obamacare trajectory until it is unraveled.

Having said that, my health care costs where I work have remained the same for 3 years. This year there was a tiny increase costing me about $20 a month more for health, dental and vision. But that was more than offset by the Trump tax cut. So I look at it like my tax cut is paying for my health care cost increase and cutting what I pay by about $80 per month.

SO use your tax cut to help with your health care costs.

There’s your reduction in health costs.

        1) Tom, you boast about how you had experienced no price increases in your health insurance for years. No doubt that was due to Obama and Obamacare being effective at keeping healthcare prices down.
        2) And yet, you seem to readily admit that under Trump and the Republican destruction of Obamacare, now the cost of your health insurance has started to increase. These are your own words, Tom.
        3) Obamacare is now Republicare, or Trumpcare, which ever you prefer, Tom. The primary reason being that Tump and republicans have taken away the primary method used to pay for Obamacare. The individual mandate. You say you are in the insurance business. However, you do not seem to understand that those who do not have claims finance the claims of of those who do make claims. Basic insurance 101, Tom.
        6) You’re writing just doesn’t make sense Tom. You seem to be always trying to have it both ways with hypocrisy

Hanover Republican Committee Vice Chairman Dale Hargrove Alderman cut a deal with outgoing Hanover GOP Chairman Russ Wright on his way out the door appointing Cold Harbor Supervisor Scott Wyatt to Peace’s 96th District Committee as a rep for the Republican Party. Now why would Hargrove do that? She got Wyatt elected to the Hanover County Board of Supervisors and has been grooming Wyatt to run for Peace’s delegate seat. Hmmm.

When is Hargrove going to pull the trigger on that challenge?

Delegate Chris Peace is the “Liberal” beneficiary of Middle Resolution Pac Founder Bob Bailie.

If you don’t like Chris Peace’s left leaning Political Agenda- STOP VOTING FOR HIM.

YOU KNOW WHERE MR Founder Bob Bailie’s wealth comes from?

The DEVELOPMENT OF HANOVER COUNTY. HIDDEN in LLCs.

Why do you think MR Controls the Hanover County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commissioners? why do you think Ashley Peace ( wife of delegate Chris Peace) was appointed to the Hanover County planning commission during the 2012 Twenty Year Comprehensive Plan review?
to ensure massive real estate development in Hanover County for the next 20 years.

And YOU STOOGES in Hanover continue to VOTE Peace into OFFICE. You are validating his RUN FOR GOVERNOR.

Likely forgotten by now , back in 2014 I placed a TEA Party sign that stated Del Peace supported Medicaid Expansion in voting yes for a budget that contained language putting Medicaid expansion on the fast track if ” reform” took place.

The Mechanicsville T.E.A Party went ballistic, with one of their officers threatening to come down to my property and remove the sign. Needless to say that wasn’t going to happen. Peace is owned , lock stock and barrel, has been since he was elected and perhaps I can watch my mail for an apology from the politically ignorant weak saps that defended this guy 4 years ago. I am not holding my breath.

As for the almost certain rants on the Trump derangement crowd……

I have been a licensed health & life insurance agent for 30 years. Prices were stable under Obama ? My premium for the exact same policy major medical $10,000 deductible was $239.00 a month when that goof passed ACA

My premium today ( no changes other than the mandated benefits I never wanted) is now almost $700 a month

This simplistic mentality that people who don’t have claims pay for those that do belie the ignorance of anyone making such a statement.

Underwriting has been destroyed, you have ” open enrollment” where the very sickest people can sign up without any medical underwriting . Imagine if every drunk was guaranteed auto insurance, regardless of their driving history or past claims ? Health insurance isn’t a right, never has been. Medical treatment was guaranteed by Congress back in the 70’s when laws were past that forbid any doctor, clinic or hospital from denying anyone treatment, regardless of insurance or ability to pay.

People who want something for nothing will never be satisfied until the U.S has Socialized Universal Health Insurance. I have traveled to a number of countries , and actually had a motorcycle accident in Bermuda 15 years ago, and got to witness firsthand the ” wonderful universal health care system firsthand”

You simply haven’t got a clue of what you talk about. Utilization—cost sharing–major medical catastrophic coverage–unlimited coverage–medical underwriting…..you simply are a socialist wanting someone else to pay your way

Congressman Rob Wittman (R-VA) is down 20 points in a recent poll. His campaign is in a full blown panic. Voters in the 1st Congressional District are likely to vote Demoncrat according to the poll. The Republican Party of Stupid’s “redistricting” to screw Dave Brat for his 2014 epic defeat of Eric Cantor and to gerrymander a safe seat for Wittman isn’t working. Because Rob isn’t working.

Wittman actually says he drives to Washington DC from Montross VA in the Northern Neck each day. Yeah right. At least the other Congressmen fly in on Tuesdays and fly out on Thursdays giving the American citizens a 2 1/2 day work week. Wittman now blames Trump for his polling numbers. That’s just TDS. This from a Congressman who for years chaired the Sportsman’s Caucus like that is a real thing? instead of actually working for his constituents in Washington.

Republican Congressmen campaigned for six years on the promise to Repeal and Replace OBAMA CARE. They LIED. Eric Cantor said so. It’s not Trump’s fault the ChamberCrat Republicans under Paul Ryan gave Wall Street what they wanted. And now Wittman is upset Republican voters are likely staying home in November in his district?

Wittman may likely lose his seat in November. And if Brat loses too It’s Wittman’s fault. For taking Hanover and New Kent Counties out of the 7th District to give Wittman a safe seat that he isn’t savvy enough to hold. according to the polls.

Here is an idea Congressman Wittman: After #NeverTrump Ed Gillespie’s loss in November why don’t you try embracing the Republican President’s agenda instead of blaming him? Why don’t you campaign on repealing Obamacare? Giving your constituents some relief on skyrocketing Insurance Costs due to the ACA? Did Eric Cantor’s defeat teach you NOTHING? And why don’t you actually get an apartment in Washington DC and try working 5 days a week like the taxpayers who pay your salary do?

Rob Wittman is the posterchild for the Party of Stupid.

  5. Bob Shannon says:

Cong. Wittman sends out a mailer/e-mail asking what we think about tariffs.

Don’t we elect people to Congress to LEAD ?
Apparently his “handlers” haven’t told him yet what his position is.

He speaks to the BoyScouts and other assorted feel goo groups that treat him like visiting royalty.

Maybe that explains why he keeps ducking the invitation for a Town Hall with the King William T.E.A Party………he knows we ask the tough questions….the ones he would rather not have to answer. It is time for him to go back to the private sector ( that isn’t K Street Rob) and let someone who wants to lead in the 1st district .

  6. Wht Rino says:

Unfortunately when Wittman leaves office it will be due to a dumbocrat. But that may be November 2018. Wittman will then run for Governor or US Senate against Mark Warner with John Fredericks help. Cause the GOP has no Farm Team. They just recycle their losers like Scott Lingamfelter and Happy Gilmore.
