HOPE for BOTSWANA YET! NIJEL AMOS wins his heat in the QUARTERFINALS!

Based on this site here, Nigel Amos of Botswana won heat 1 yesterday in the quarterfinals with a time of 1 minute 45.90 seconds.  (My best heat in high school was about twice that for the same event!)

Botswana’s Nijel Amos, center, leads in a men’s 800-meter heat during the athletics in the Olympic Stadium at the 2012 Summer Olympics, London, Monday, Aug. 6, 2012.

We’ll see!  Got to get to the finals.
