Republicans Mistook BDSM Club for Democrat Controlled Congress

In all likelihood the spanking they have taken since leaving the club and turning in their expenses is far worse than the ones they got at the club.

But the thing I don’t understand is, Democrats have spent the last year tying the hands of Republicans and gagging them while shoving things down their throat.

Perhaps the poor RNC employees simply thought they were walking into a Democratic controlled Congressional Chamber.

An easy mistake to make these days.

VOYEUR DRAWS A NEW EYE TO HOLLYWOOD NIGHTLIFE THIS FALL

Intimate Lounge Brings Intrigue, Art, and Sensuality to
One of the City’s Most Legendary Properties

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (October 2009) –Hollywood’s after-dark landscape will unveil a new dimension this fall with the debut of VOYEUR, an intimate lounge that will draw guests into a provocative enclave where art, festivities, and entertainment converge in a sophisticated setting unlike any other. VOYEUR brings to mind an elite, private gathering place of days past, where an exclusive mix of clientele will enjoy premium cocktails, food and revelry set against a stunning backdrop featuring live art installations, risqué photography and film elements, with impromptu performances.

Young entrepreneurs David Koral and Matt Bendik of Chosen Hospitality Group and nightlife veterans, Art and Allan Davis, will debut VOYEUR in the legendary space, formerly Peanuts, which housed one of the city’s most legendary nightlife parties of the 90’s, “Grandville”. Now, this team seeks to re-introduce and elicit a similar avant-garde concept by taking this seemingly innocent space and ambiance to the edge of corruption with elegance and eroticism. “Launching Voyeur in one of the LA’s most famed venues brings a historical element that we wanted to translate aesthetically,” said Koral. “We’ve created a timeless design with an alluring, yet tasteful experience that will stimulate the senses.”

Koral and Bendik (former VP of The Light Group in Las Vegas) and The Davis Brothers (who launched The Gate, Chi, Dragonfly, The Lounge, and AD, etc.) have partnered with a team of seasoned nightlife professionals to oversee the success of VOYEUR. Nick Montealegre, one of Hollywood’s foremost impresarios, whose successful promotional background includes venues such as Teddy’s, Lobby, Les Deux, Crimson, and Hyde, will head VOYEUR’s marketing and promotions, while General Manager Michael Kassar, formerly of Spago Beverly Hills, plans to infuse a culture of impeccable service and operations.

VOYEUR’s signature cocktail menu includes sugar–free, all organic creations including watermelon jalapeno, blueberry mint and cucumber olive shots. Guests will enjoy simple, small-bite hors d’oeuvres from Chef Micah Wexler (formerly from Craft), including smoked salmon and cucumber tea sandwiches, prime beef sliders and a signature crispy shrimp cocktail.

VOYEUR designed by award-wining, architect and designer Mark Zeff (Hard Rock Hotel & Casino – Las Vegas, Sense, A Rosewood Spa at the Carlyle Hotel – New York), takes inspiration from the legendary lounge, Annabelle’s of London and the visually mesmerizing world created in Stanley Kubrick’s acclaimed movie Eyes Wide Shut. Upon arrival, guests will immediately feel as if they’ve entered an underground sanctuary, with a noir backdrop and an understated atmosphere. Once through the exposed brick entrance hallway they will encounter massive metal sphere chandeliers with spiked lighting, black leather drapery with brass rings, green leather chesterfield sofas and reupholstered antique chairs with brass and bronze accents.  Lining the inner walls are 1920’s glass casement windows from the old New York Times building on West 43rd Street, photography filmstrips from an erotic photo shoot are exposed as wallpaper in one room, while an old-fashioned photo booth allows uninhibited guests to create their own stills.

Zeff and his team that included Josh Held (Lead Architect) and Sarah Mckay (Senior Designer) achieved the look of VOYEUR through a mix of antiques and custom designed pieces that blend old with new, masculine with feminine, and sexy with sophistication — a repurposed antique mahogany wood apothecary functions as the back bar, vintage headboards were retrofitted into long benches, and custom created leather corset designs were added to the backs of chairs to tie together the rich décor.

VOYEUR is located at 7969 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, and is open Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are recommended and can be made by email, rosemarie@voyeur7969.com.

Let’s be clear: There’s this sense of entitlement and power that grips top level operatives of the political establishment of both parties. Power corrupt. What speaks volumes is that this was not correcter nor checked. If one of the nation’s top political parties cant make sure its operatives don’t use donor funds to go to strip clubs, what accountability is there on any level of the political establishment?

It’s always a shame to see the most morally upstanding, young, and ethical people stuck at the lowest positions, and that’s what our political system is in reality. I can give you a list of plenty of Democrats less sleezy than Nancy Pelosi, and I can give you a list of plenty of Republicans more civil that John Boehner.

It was my intent to poke fun at all of them. I really don’t see much difference in going to a strip club and spending $2,000 and going to Morton’s of Chicago or Ruth’s Chris and spending a wad.

While it might not please the far right Evangelicals, it is not like the RNC paid for sex or something. There are Broadway shows with more nudity.

I am a Christian and try to live right, but I find it impossible to see this as something horrible.

I don’t know how many people were fed for $2,000 but the mission was to entertain some big donors as I understand it. Perhaps a Ball Game of some sort would have been more appropriate, but business meetings in strip clubs are a regular occurrence, and no big deal.

And unless it turns out there was some sort of sexual side to the story, it is not a big deal.

  2. You should really think about working on growing this site into a major authority in this market. You clearly have a concrete understanding of the areas all of us are searching for on this website anyways and you could possibly even earn a buck or three from some offers. I would look into following recent headlines and increasing the amount of write ups you make and I bet you’d start earning some awesome traffic in the near future. Just a thought, good luck regardless!

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
