Kelly Clarkson, the very first American Idol winner and a monster pop singer (also attractive to boot!) sent this tweet out to her many fans:
I love Ron Paul. I liked him a lot during the last republican nomination and no one gave him a chance. If he wins the nomination for the Republican party in 2012 he’s got my vote. Too bad he probably won’t.
It did not go without both positive and negative comments! I intend to track this blog post back to her to express my support. The amazing thing for some of my readers is that I even know about Kelly Clarkson!
Clarkson won the AI title and immediately produced an album (Thankful) and a single record (a Moment Like This). (I actually bought the album at the time! Some of my readers may have to lay down for a minute.)
What Clarkson did with that album and single was amazing. The single went from 52 to 1 in one week – beating a record set by that little known rock group from the UK, the Beatles. (Clarkson beat that record in 2009 going from number 97 to 1 in one week!) The album DEBUTED at NUMBER ONE! ( I am told that neither the Beatles nor Elvis Presley ever did that but I cannot confirm it!)
