In a prime example of liberal hypocrisy, Jen O’Malley Dillon, the Executive Director of the Democratic National Committee sent out a letter this week to liberals demonstrating their intolerance for any voices of dissent with Obama’s policies. This attack was on Dick Cheney who had the audacity to speak the truth concerning the information received from terrorists using the waterboarding technique, which was approved by the same Democrats that now want to put Republicans on trial.
In her latest attack, Dillon says:
“Have you ever had a guest who overstayed his welcome and wondered, “why is he still here?”
After some of his recent interviews, former Vice President Cheney has shown that he clearly doesn’t know when to pack it in.
In just the last week, he’s gone on national television in an effort to tear down President Obama’s agenda — saying the President’s economic programs will be “devastating to our society” and that his foreign policy makes us seem “weak” to the rest of the world.
I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time for him to stop sniping from the sidelines and let President Obama usher in the changes Americans demanded after eight years of Cheney’s disastrous policies. That’s why I want Cheney to go back home to Wyoming, and why I want you to help me get him there.”
And she goes on to say:
“Normally, when a Vice President leaves office with a disastrous legacy and the support of less than one quarter of the public, I’d expect him to keep out of the spotlight.”
And she asks for donations to send Cheney a bus ticker home.
Funny, there was no mention of Al Gore and Jimmy Carter. Both of these former “leaders” have spent their forced retirement from politics as bitter old men spewing hatred and criticism towards the Republican Administrations. Their rejected, failed policies were cast aside by the American people, yet Republicans have not attacked their right to free speech. While Republicans have attacked their failed policies, they have never tried to silence them.
The Democrats seem to believe that free speech and dissent only applies to those that agree with their ideals. Dillon states that Cheney, “after eight years in office left the country with a sky-rocketing deficit” yet fails to mention that President Obama has amassed a deficit larger than the combined deficits of his predecessors, George Washington through George Bush.
The Democrats have truly become the party of hate. Bush, Cheney, Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, Coulter, Cantor, etc. Whoever speaks up against the Democrats is immediately attacked with calls to shut them up.
Perhaps a re-read of the Constitution is in order for Ms. Dillon and her party.
