Can you say hypocritical?
When the story broke about Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney having placed the family dog Seamus in a dog kennel on the top of their car for a drive from Boston to Canada, the Liberals sensed an opportunity to try to alienate yet another group, dog lovers, into their divide and conquer strategy. A strategy they are relegated to because they can’t run on Obama’s record.
Boy did that one backfire!
In Obama’s book “Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance,” Obama actually bragged about eating dog meat. One has to wonder where PETA stands on this one.
From the book:
“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chill peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy),” the president wrote. “Like many Indonesians, Lolo followed a brand of Islam that could make room for the remnants of more ancient animist and Hindu faiths. He explained that a man took on the powers of whatever he ate: One day soon, he promised, he would bring home a piece of tiger meat for us to share.”
And if Lolo’s theory of taking powers from whatever you eat has any basis in fact, it might explain a lot about Obama.
So expect this fabricated outrage by the left to quietly go away. When you are going for the dog lovers in the crowd, most would tend to believe that placing Fido on the roof of a car is far more preferable to fried Fido.
The good news is that these days, Obama treats his dog a bit better than in his past. First Pooch Bo was actually flown to a Martha’s Vineyard vacation on a separate jet from the first couple.
So while the left paints a picture of Romney as a super rich elitist, at least he manages to be frugal when it comes to vacations. Unfortunately, the Obama’s raided the National Treasury for Bo’s transportation needs.
It really is a boy eats dog world out there!
