Live Blog – Richmond Tea Party – 6:30 PM

The flags of the United States and Virginia were ushered in by the Boy Scouts and Bagpipes. The crowd recited the Pledge of Allegiance and heard a great rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. After an opening prayer, Jim Smyers took the stage to introduce WRVA’s Doc Thompson.

Doc Thompson: 6:34 PM

Last year, over 5,000 people came to the first Richmond Tea Party, in the rain to say enough is enough is enough is enough.

Doc said he would have been happy to have seen 200 people turn up lasr year and we had over 5,000 – perhaps 6,000.

One year later , those who could stand and fight for freedom are doing just that.

The tactics have changed. They tried to ignore us, but they simply can no longer ignore us.

The tactics have changed from ignore to discredit. Because you are informed and smart.
