It has finally happened. The Main Stream Media has decided to drop their pro Obama bias and demand the disclosure of his birth records to verify his eligibility to be President.
Here are the examples:
“Aides to President Obama visited the Hawaii Records archives in Honolulu and possibly altered Obama’s birth records to conceal Obama’s birthplace in Kenya, according to a former senior official of the Hawaiian Vital Statistics Department.”
A new examination of birth records and other documents released by the White House earlier this year appear to confirm critics’ assertions that President Obama failed to prove his birth on American soil.
And from the AP:
The Associated Press sued the White House on Tuesday, seeking access to all records of Barack Obama’s birth.
Filed in federal court in New York, where the AP is headquartered, the lawsuit seeks access to a copy of Obama’s “long form” birth certificate.
The White House says the government has already released all the records of Obama’s birth.
If you find these statements unbelievable from a partisan liberal press, you would be correct. In each of the quotes above, I have substituted the original text “Bush’s National Guard Records” for “Obama’s Birth Certificate”.
This is a simple illustration of just how one sided the press has become, as if you needed an illustration. Critics of the press’s constant obsession wondered aloud why this even mattered. It’s not as if Bush’s constitutional qualifications to serve were in question. And remember the forged document Dan Rather “exposed” that bloggers debunked as a fake? The letter in question was typed on a computer with a font that did not exist in the 70’s. But they didn’t let a little thing like truth get in their way.
Fast forward to the Obama birth certificate debacle. It is a fact that the “long form” birth certificate exists. It is also a fact that Obama has ordered it sealed. One has to think if this were a question faced by a Republican, would the Main Stream Media and the Democrats be so anxious to bury the matter?
And I wonder why the MSM failed to come up with a cute little derogatory name for those that wanted the Bush records. Something like “guarders”. Sort of fits in with “birthers” and “tea baggers”, don’t you think?
