“The American people, the people of Massachusetts,
have rejected the arrogance; they are tired of being told
by Washington how to think and what to do.”
The election of Scott Brown to the U.S. Senate sent a clear message to the Democrats: Listen to the people, heed their priorities.
The American people are shouting STOP at the top of their lungs and it’s time for Washington to listen. It’s time to defeat the Democrats’ terrible health care legislation once and for all and start over to find common sense solutions that Americans can support.
In July, President Barak Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pushed a health care bill which would result in a government takeover. In August the American people rose up and went to town hall meetings and said STOP.
The Democrats in Washington did not listen and forced their bill through the House in October. The result was that the Democrats decisively lost the governorships of New Jersey and Virginia.
Still, the Democrat leaders did not listen. On Christmas Eve, they forced the plan through the Senate on a party line vote producing a bill that had been written in secret, behind closed doors.
Less than a month later, the Democrats lost Ted Kennedy’s U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts, arguably the most Democrat state in the country.
The people have spoken. It’s time for Washington to listen.
Together we can stop the Democrats’ radical agenda and replace it with common sense solutions based on the real priorities of American families.
