MORE NEW NON-INTERVENTIONIST VOICES IN THE GOP – ADD YOURS – IF YOU ARE A GOP OFFICIAL OF ANY KIND – STAND WITH STEELE, PAUL AND COULTER!

The Ann Coulter/Bill Kristol controversy over Afghanistan seems to have legs.  Politics Daily reports that her sarcastic retort encouraging Kristol to “resign” might have not been quite so sarcastic after all.

PD reports that Joe Scarborough of Morning Joe agreed with Coulter (emphasis mine):

Coulter is not the first conservative to warn that Afghanistan could turn into a quagmire. George Will and Tony Blankley have raised that very point. But Coulter has made it in a way that directly — and personally — challenges conservative orthodoxy. And it’s catching on. MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough tweeted Coulter’s column out to his followers, adding, “Thank you, Ann Coulter. She speaks out against the GOP now being for permanent war. She is right.”

Note that Scarborough did not agree that Afghanistan was Obama’s war.  He agreed that the GOP was for perpetual war.  PD calls it the “beginning” of a conservative schism; sorry wrong!  Ron Paul and a few others were speaking out in 2007 (and before) on the hazards of wanton intervention.  But, repentance is good.  Come on in.  Support non-intervention.

I hate to criticize my own party often.  My intent is constructive.  To turn it toward the right.  PD is encouraging:

Clearly, things have changed since 2008, when candidates John McCain, Rudy Giuliani and even Mitt Romney represented the mainstream viewpoint, and when Congressman Ron Paul was essentially mocked for his isolationist tendencies and his desire for a “humble foreign policy.” Today, Paul’s positions are enjoying resurgence, and his son, Rand Paul, is poised to be elected to the U.S. Senate. How quickly things change.

If you are/were a Ron Paul supporter – look around you!  The ideas are being debated seriously.  I do know friends of liberty have been elected party officials.  Now’s the time to speak out!  Have a press conference; send a letter to the editor, use your title – say I support non-intervention and I agree with my party chairman – we’re not the party of war.  Libertarian/Tea party ideas are catching fire.  Work hard for your liberty/tea party candidates in this election cycle.  Truth is on the march and nothing shall stop it!
