Several days ago the government of Canada sensibly withdrew from the sovereignty killer known as Kyoto. (Thankfully the US never joined, no thanks to former Vice President Al Gore.) But, ICLEI has already shown just what a Fifth Column it is. Here is what the Mayor of Vancouver, BC, Canada as reported by this environmental news service:
While Canada rejects the Kyoto Protocol, ICLEI Member Vancouver wants to prolong the commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and says that cities will have to take a leadership role in the battle against climate change.
“Cities are where the rubber hits the road and it is time for the nations of the world to listen to the voice of local government so that our future generations have a safe world to live in,” said ICLEI President David Cadman of Vancouver. (emphasis added)
This is clear: Who is the VOICE of LOCAL GOVERNMENT? It is none other than ICLEI!
Globally, many cities already are responding to climate change.
Increasingly, they are acting in concert and learning from one another, regionally, and through national and international networks such as the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability, United Cities and Local Governments, the EU’s Covenant of Mayors, and the World Mayors Council on Climate Change. (emphasis added)
Not only UCLG (pronounced UGLY!) but the banks are in on it too:
With the overall aim of better coordinating and deepening support to cities that must adapt to and mitigate climate change, the African Development Bank, Asian Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Inter-American Development Bank, and the World Bank will develop common tools and metrics for cities.
These banks lent DIRECTLY to cities nearly 8.5 BILLION dollars to implement climate change. This shows exactly how deep the confederation is: Is your city a member of ICLEI? Where was YOUR mayor during the Waste of Time in Durban! As Deep Throat famously said, “Follow the money!” Yes, patriots, follow the money! Find out if your city or county is taking World Bank money! It ought to be illegal for any city to get a grant from the World Bank!
Is there any doubt: ICLEI is patently unconstitutional. If a patriotic candidate like Ron Paul gets elected who do you think will oppose him? ICLEI will along with the 550 (and counting, thank the Lord, DOWN!) municipalities as members will surely oppose the President. Use this information to fight ICLEI in your home town today!
