How about these – and there are others – names:
Midlothian (in Scotland so you know who won!) – yes it was the SNP
Halifax was a Labour hold but the majority (actually in most cases a plurality) was 428 votes.
Gloucester – The Tories held this one, too.
There is a Richmond (in York) and the Tories won here with UKIP a distant second. In Richmond Park (I think within the City of London) the Conservatives held this seat, too. With a majority of over 23,000 votes!
Dumfries and Galloway – In Scotland and the SNP won with the Tories a decent second.
Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale & Tweeddale – however was one of the three constituencies that did not go to the SNP. The Tories won by less than a thousand votes.
Kilmarnock and Loudoun – you get TWO Old Dominion names in one district. It was in Scotland and you know what happened: A nearly 14,000 vote margin for the SNP.
Chatham & Aylesford – Yes another Tory hold.
Portsmouth has a North and a South. The North is another Tory hold but the LibDem candidate might be a distant relative – Darren Sanders. Should have run for UKIP! Portsmouth South is a Conservative pick up from the Liberal Democrats.
Sussex Mid was another Conservative hold.
Stafford? There are several seats with “Stafford” in it but this one is a Tory hold
Finally – Windsor – The Conservatives won 63+ percent of the vote and crushed the others.
There are many more: Suffolk has four districts, for example. But I had to stop somewhere. Enjoy!
