MSNBC Host ‘Uncomfortable’ Calling War Dead ‘Heroes’

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, host of ‘Up with Chris Hayes’ said this weekend:

“I don’t want to obviously desecrate or disrespect memory of anyone that’s fallen, he said, “and obviously there are individual circumstances in which there is genuine, tremendous heroism — hail of gunfire, rescuing fellow soldiers and things like that. But it seems to me that we marshal this word in a way that is problematic.”

While Hayes is uncomfortable calling war dead heroes, here is a news flash for MSNBC: Most people are uncomforcable calling MSNBC a News outlet.

What Hayes and the liberal lefties over at MSNBC do not understand is that to most people, anyone who takes an oath to protect their fellow citizens and dies performing those duties is a hero. No question about it.

As for those who take the oath and are never called upon to pay the ultimate sacrifice, I would opine that, absent some act of courage or valor that distinguishes them from the others, the title hero might be a bit of a stretch.

And I make that statement as a former member of the US Navy. I did nothing of note during my service and do not feel entitled to any such accolades. If required, I stood ready to lay down my life in defense of this country, not as a matter of something  I eagerly sought, but as a matter if duty, honor and the preservation of a free America.

Left wing ideologues like Hayes seem incapable of separating one’s duty from politics. And that is a direct result of liberal, mind warping college professors who teach their charges that the hate must be perfect and complete. In their tiny minds, somehow, Soldiers and Sailors who are involved in a war must be politically aligned with their leaders who order them to do things that are, under most circumstances, very difficult.

These liberal whiners do not understand the concept of following orders and the importance of doing so unquestioningly.

There are rules of engagement and there are rules of war. But these are not for the fighting men and women on the front lines to debate and ponder. They simply follow orders. And if it turns out the orders were unlawful, it is the responsibility of the officer issuing the orders, and this will be addressed in time.

And while it is not uncommon for civilian workers in a manufacturing plant to speak up or question something, that is not how the military works. The goals and reasons behind orders do not need to make sense to those following the orders. Orders may seem counterproductive, illogical or simply ill advised. But perhaps the action you are ordered to carry out is simply a diversion to draw the enemy away from another area. Or out into the open.

Soldiers don’t know the big picture, and don’t need to know the big picture.

To the one who is supposed to follow orders, the reason for your particular orders, your mission or the whole war are irrelevant. You are a cog in a big wheel. You learn that early and you learn that well.

“Yours is not to question why, yours is but to do or die,” the saying goes.

So for a mindless MSNBC talking head to question if one who gives his (or her) life following orders is a hero should not surprise anyone. Hayes is simply parroting the words of his “mentors” who are absolutely clueless on why soldiers cannot question orders.

To candy-assed MSNBC hosts like Chris Hayes, you should get down on your knees and thank God that there are men and women who don’t share your suicidal ideology. It was people like the Military Heroes whose memory and service you have denigrated that you and your ilk ran and hid behind on 9/11 and now count on to allow you to allow you to continue to spew your moronic commentary.

And perhaps the next time you need a fireman or cop to save your sorry ass from harm you will also pray that these people are willing to potentially give their life to save your miserable hide knowing that you may be “uncomfortable” considering them heroes as well.

What a sad and pathetic network MSNBC is to allow people like Chris Hayes on the sir. Anyone who would spit on the memory of fallen heroes like he did should not be seen in public.

I say “Down with Chris Hayes”.
