In September I posted this article about a 9/11 video that purports to give the Islamic view of why America deserved to be terrorized on 9/11.
Below are the comments I delivered to the School Board that, despite a large outcry, approved the use of this video in the classroom. I initially thought we had 5 minutes but found out it was actually 3 minutes, so some of this was edited out to fit into the requirements.
Begin Delivered Remarks:
I am Tom White. I am the founder and editor of Virginia Right!, I am an Administrator on the Hanover Resident’s Facebook Page that has about 700 members, as well as a number of other online publications. I am in the process of launching HanoverWhistleblower.com a website that will allow anonymous reports to expose problems with the Hanover government and especially with the schools.
Suffice it to say the School Board has my attention.
The video “Roots of 9/11” that is being shown in Hanover Classrooms blames America for 9/11. The defenses I have heard of this video usually have to do with being “fair” and presenting “both sides” of the issue. And if that were true, I would have no objection to this teaching method.
Unfortunately, this video was taped in Islamic Countries where people are not free to give their opinion on this or any other terrorist attacks. And despite the academic setting of portions of the video, the students do not have the right to free speech. The Koran, in fact, allows and demands that Muslims lie to protect Islam. There is even a name for this action:
al-Taqiyya: (pronounced al ta Gree’ a)
deception; the Islamic word for concealing or disguising one’s beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies.
If any of the people on the video were critical of the terrorism on 9/11 they would end up stoned to death or put down in the streets with a bullet to the back of the head.
The video “Roots of 9/11” is an Al Qaeda propaganda and recruitment film. And they count on the unwitting and the seditious in America to propagandize to the young, pliable minds and those easily swayed by these lies.
And Hanover County Schools have fallen for this lie and became a de facto ally of radical Islam.
America scratched their collective heads a couple of weeks ago when 3 teenage girls – all under 18 – left their homes in Colorado to join ISIS.
And we scratch our heads when we hear of another school shooting or other horrific violence that happens in our schools. And we wonder how this could happen.
Well, I don’t wonder. I know how this happened.
Our schools have lost touch with the values of the community. Academic freedom trumps logic and plain common sense. We teach our kids that America is a bully and by extension, the children see the schools as America and see a need to punish America for the evil they have been told we are responsible for. And they lash out like they have been taught by the constant erroneous input from schools exercising academic freedom and fairness.
So when the first Hanover kids travel to the Middle East to join ISIS or commit horrors and atrocities on our soil, WE won’t need to wonder how this happened. We will know. And WE won’t have to search for someone to blame. Blame is easy to assess. The School Board, Superintendent and teachers who defend this propaganda are the ones we will blame. And you are the ones that will be named in the lawsuits and held up in the public eye as the responsible instigators.
We don’t elect School Board members in Hanover. For me, the disadvantages of elected school board members outweighed the advantages. But not anymore. The path to hold you accountable is through the Supervisors that appointed you and that is inefficient.
But for now it is all we have. In the past I have supported and endorsed Supervisors Ed Via and Bucky Stanley. That will not happen again. We are recruiting good people to challenge both Via and Stanley and the winning issue is this 9/11 video. This is red meat in the Hanover Community. And the only platform necessary is replacing the school board members that allow these seeds of propaganda to be planted in our children’s heads.
The reports I have already received about Atheistic proselytizing in classrooms, teachers calling young teenage girls sluts, posting sexually graphic items on the walls of the classrooms and children who feel forced to “hold it” all day because of reports of sex and drugs in school bathrooms are intolerable. I am thankful we have a Sheriff that takes at least the bathroom reports seriously. And I find it incredulous that the response I received from this school board was to toss out the red tape, circle the wagons and raise the defenses rather than take care of the problems. A brilliant example of al-Taqiyya in Hanover.
That is about to change.
This is Hanover County.
We deserve better.
We demand better.
