My Interview with GOP National Committeewoman Candidate Cynthia Dunbar

It’s a rare privilege when you blog about politics to get to speak with and meet your heroes:  Governor Bobby JindalAmbassador John Bolton, Congressman Ron Paul are three that come to mind.  Here’s one more to add to the hero list:  Cynthia Dunbar.

Cynthia Dunbar was one of the brave and courageous State Board of Education members who began an educational revolution by telling the truth about US History! These members were so effective that a California legislator actually introduced a bill prohibiting Texas textbooks from the Golden State!

Well, Dunbar is now living in Virginia. She came here as a Visiting Professor of Law at Liberty University in 2009 and is now running for GOP National Committeewoman.  She went to Regent University School of Law and is licensed to practice in Missouri and Texas and as corporate counsel in Virginia.  She is a former faculty member at Liberty University School of Law, former Advisor to the Provost at Liberty University and is now a small business owner.

Cynthia ran for the Texas State Board of Education and chose to only serve one term. What she and her colleagues accomplished is cited at this blog here.  Dunbar was recruited to run and she reluctantly consented. She went on to win every county in her district, a district twice the size of a congressional district with roughly 1.5 million constituents. When she took office, Dunbar became something of a “floor manager” of the conservatives trying to restore proper, truthful educational standards in textbooks and she won key victories. This required keen negotiating skills since the State Board was composed of seven conservatives (all GOP), three RINO style Republicans and five Democrats.  Dunbar was very effective, occasionally persuading even some of the Democrats to vote with her.

Dunbar wants to stand with conservatives and for conservative values as National Committeewoman.  She has the endorsement and support of key leaders such as Senator Dick Black, Bishop E. W. Jackson and Dr. Ron Paul among many others. I have not yet decided to endorse anyone in this race, but I was thrilled to speak with Cynthia Dunbar!

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
