NEW HAMPSHIRE may be the FIRST STATE to BAN ICLEI! The RNC resolution has also spurred OTHER ACTION!

I found this fabulous bill based on this site so I confirmed it at the New Hampshire legislative (General Court is the name for the NH legislature) website and here’s the text of the bill that BANS ICLEI in the Granite State – House Bill 1634:

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twelve

AN ACT prohibiting the state, counties, towns, and cities from implementing programs of, expending money for, receiving funding from, or contracting with the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives.

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

1 New Section; Towns and Cities; Prohibition Added. Amend RSA 31 by inserting after section 8-a the following new section:

31:8-b International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives; Contracts; Expenditures Prohibited. No town or city shall implement programs of, expend any sum for, be a member of, receive funding from, contract for services from, or give financial or other forms of aid to the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) in furtherance of the United Nations program known as Agenda 21.

2 New Section; State Budget; Prohibition Added. Amend RSA 9 by inserting after section 28 the following new section:

9:29 International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives; Contracts; Expenditures Prohibited. No agency or department of the state shall implement programs of, expend any sum for, be a member of, receive funding from, contract for services from, or give financial or other forms of aid to the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) in furtherance of the United Nations program known as Agenda 21.

3 New Section; Counties; Prohibition Added. Amend RSA 23 by inserting after section 1-a the following new section:

23:1-b International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives; Contracts; Expenditures Prohibited. No county nor any department thereof shall implement programs of, expend any sum for, be a member of, receive funding from, contract for services from, or give financial or other forms of aid to the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) in furtherance of the United Nations program known as Agenda 21.

4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

I say RAH for Rep. Cartwright (who endorsed Ron Paul by the way – no surprise here!) and the others who support this bill.

Rep. Cartwright, Ches 2; Rep. Pettengill, Carr 1; Rep. L. Vita, Straf 3; Rep. S. Tremblay, Rock 3

Send them some encouragement today!  Cartwright, Pettengill, Vita and Tremblay.  Fighting for liberty and sovereignty!

MORE GOOD NEWS according to this website – a state representative in Tennessee has introduced a resolution that mirrors the RNC anti-Agenda 21 in the TN legislature!

Rep. Kevin Brooks of TN has submitted legislation that mirrors the RNC resolution that was just passed making the fight against ICLEI and Agenda 21 a top priority for 2012.                                                                       http://e-lobbyist.com/gaits/text/541904            Karen Bracken

Here’s Rep. Brooks website.

Finally, there is this encouraging but unconfirmed report:

The Board of Directors of The Mississippi Tea Party met with Governor Phil Bryant of Mississippi today to discuss the Legislative Agenda for 2012. During the meeting I presented Gov. Bryant with a copy of the RNC Resolution passed unanimously on 1/13 (attached) and suggested that we introduce legislation in accordance with the resolution to work to stop Agenda 21 and United Nations influence in our state. Gov. Bryant let us know immediately that he is on board and has committed to work with us to 1)Expose Agenda 21 and Sustainable Development as stated in the resolution 2) Reject Agenda 21 and its policies as stated in the resolution and 3) reject any funding associated with Agenda 21 as stated in the resolution. THIS IS HUGE as sustainable development is all over our state. We will expose it and show it for what it is and we will work to eradicate it in Mississippi.  I offered the Governor the MSTP Agenda 21 Committee and our website, www.StopAgenda21inMS.com, as a ‘go to’ resource for information and research on Agenda 21 for him and his staff.  Jennifer West

Maybe someone will slip an amendment in here in VA to ban ICLEI.  I wonder what the Roanoke Times will say about THAT!
