What hasn’t been discussed , at least in sufficient detail is what qualities these various candidate possess that will possibly be on display if in fact they are elected President in November.

Many of us look back at the Reagan era with great fondness, Reagan was just what the nation needed in 1980. His foreign policy strategy will be written about for decades yet to come. Almost single handedly he bankrupt the former Soviet Union, while rebuilding our badly depleted military forces, and with some help from Pope John Paul helped free hundreds of millions from oppression in Eastern Europe and throughout the Soviet republic.History will always rightfully note this contribution from a man who had great vision.

A fair criticism however, one that has been noted elsewhere was that Reagan dropped a golden opportunity to reduce domestic spending and roll back some of the regulatory strangulation that has become much worse over the last decades since he left office.

Advocate and fans of Reagan often cite his not using the ” bully pulpit” as effectively, at least on the domestic front. His superior communication skills were not utilized as effectively as they could have been, one only need look at what a dynamic campaigner he was and his reelection landslide to recognize how truly effective he was in front of the cameras.

Trump I believe understands this. A man who’s own communication skills that have been finely honed by decades of being in front of the media could conceivably take to the airwaves and elicit tremendous public support for his policies, and their implementation when Congress displays a reluctance to go along with him. If indeed he is the party nominee and succeeds in winning the White House I do have a firm believe he will indeed use this bully pulpit even more effectively than the ” great one” did. We already know he doesn’t care about PC language, just such a quality is needed to keep his agenda from getting bogged down in DC. Trump, unlike any of his opponents has this skill in abundance, and isn’t bashful about using it.
