I am about ready to pitch the Olympics into the trash can. Botswana could save the day! Tunisia did not win yesterday. But I was so excited about today – surely we’d win a fencing medal today! And then we had TWO US fencers in the semi-finals – surely this had potential – if they both got gold – time for donuts in the yard as four years ago!
No donuts this year. Maybe in next four or five days there’s a fencing medal for us. But it was a terrible day for me today. My heart goes out for Mariel Zagunis and Seth Kelsey. Here’s the Reuters article. I do not intend to talk about it again! I drowned my sorrows at a Chick-fil-A for dinner! (The line at the Mechanicsville CFA was all the way to the end of the store and the car line was almost to 360!)
