This is the biggest swing I have seen in the daily Gallup poll. President Obama’s Approval dropped 4 points and his disapproval jumped 5 – in one day. He now stands at 45% Approve and 48% Disapprove.
A good part of this drop has to be the economy. But more than that, this marks the first time since Obama was elected that the media has reported numerous critical articles per day. During the last 3 years, the press has kept away from negative stories and emphasized the positive, which as a major effect on the polls.
But as the Republican Primary gets underway, the entire field has turned the verbal cannons on Obama, pounding him daily on the wars, the economy, the deficit and the debt as well as the rising unemployment rate.
Most of the main stream media has reported these criticisms because they are news. While they are loathe to report negatives on their president, if they are to maintain any credibility (a commodity most have already stretched thin), then they really must report the broadsides, no matter how much they hate it.
So, the media is finally reporting the ugly truth about Obama, albeit reluctantly, and the results are dramatic.
Makes you wonder where Zero’s approval would be if the media had been accurate and unbiased all along. Or violently against Obama like they were Bush.
