Obama Ratings Hit All Time Low: Democrats Seen As The Party Of Self Destruction

obama_approval_index_november_24_2009
Obama has lost the support of Independents. The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shows only 16% of Independents strongly approve of Obama while 51% strongly disapprove.

Last December, President elect Obama had a strongly disapprove rating from Independents of only 15%, indicating an alarming drop of 36%.

Of course, it is not just Independents losing respect for the failed Obama policies. A full 42% of all voters strongly disapprove and onlt 27% strongly approve of the job Obama is doing. This is a new approval index low of -15%.

Overall, 54% disapprove of Obama and just 45% approve.

The prolonged recession, failure to make a decision on Afghanistan, bowing to foreign leaders and obsession with a Health Care bill opposed by 56% of Americans spells disaster for Obama and the Democrats in 2010 elections.

According to Newt Gingrich, Republicans are poised for greater gains in 2010 than they made in 1994:

Republicans will make strong inroads in next year’s elections, says former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, now an author and activist.

“I think there’s a backlash building against the entire secular, socialist wing of the Democratic Party,” Gingrich told Newsmax.TV in an interview.

“Whether it’s Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi or Majority Leader [Harry] Reid or President Obama, all of them are arousing the American people to defend America against very left-wing, radical ideas.”

These policies pushed by the Socialist Wing-nuts in the Democratic Party are rapidly exposing the Democrats as the Party of Self Destruction.

Just a quick question for anyone that knows the answer. Is it better to use the spread between Strong Fav/Strong Unfav or just the spread between fav/unfav? One gives you a metric of the diehards on ether side, but elections are fought over the rest of the voters, not the diehards.

Agree with you Tom that Obama is ticking off the people. I’m sure there’s time for him to actually ENACT one of his policies so we cant REALLY know what President Obama’s plans are like (let’s just pass one and see how it goes, I’m sure if it’s god awful the people will vote the Republicans in, and seeing as though the Health Care plan doesn’t really kick in to full gear until after the 2012 races, I’m sure there’s some room for undoing).

The Rasmussen Approval “Index” is a bit different from the rest. They use a daily sample of roughly the same number of people. If you look at some of the other polls, depending on events of the day, large numbers of people move in or out with one event, one way or the other. The Strongly opinionated are more anchored, one way or the other. My assumption is, the ones that are not “strongly” entrenched can be swayed by almost anything, so their opinion can change easily with one speech, or one event, where those strongly approving or disapproving will more likely take several events, a pattern, or something really major. It is the erosion or steadfastness of this group that is really of interest.

I don’t think it is the fact that Health Care or Cap and Trade has failed to pass that is bringing the support down. I believe it is the looming threat of these bills that is pulling down the numbers.

I have spoken to a number of people that were Obama supporters, but feel betrayed. They are not happy with Socialism. And if these things pass, it will be very hard to undo the damage. The Democrats plan is to pass the legislation, and use the good will generated by the Health Care plan to remain in office in 2012. The problem is, they misread the support. Or more correctly, the potential supporters actually read the bills. And thanks to the Tea Party folks and Beck and others, the word is getting out. I think the 2012 target date was chosen to give Obama 4 years to entrench the plan in American life. After 4 years, by 2016, the Public Option will achieve the same status as Medicare and Social Security. And it will be political suicide to want to roll it back.

Can you imagine the poll numbers if the Mainstream Media jumped on Obama like they did on Bush? I know people in your circles don’t believe the Media makes a difference in coverage, but I can tell you, there is a huge difference.

If we did not have Fox News, the media would be 100% controlled by the White House.

Just look at the Global Warming email news. When a hacked broke into Sarah Palin’s email, they were all over it. Now, they simply ignore one of the biggest stories of the decade. Any stories put out on this by the MSM have been to minimize or marginalize the story.

Problem is, the real scientists that read the data put out by these folks, and agreed with their conclusions based on the reports are now rethinking their support. Now that the raw data has finally been made public, something the “scientists” have resisted, others will analyze the same data and I am sure we will see a different conclusion.

And should the new “consensus” be that Man-made Global Warming is a hoax, what will Obama do? The Socialists will never change their view, because it is a means to control the population. So, will he continue on wanting Cap and Trade based on a hoax, or give up on it?

    Interesting days ahead, my friend.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
