One of the brightest moments of the CPAC experience last week was when 14 year old Johnathan Krohn addressed the crowd. I was returning from lunch and made it back just in time to hear him speak as I walked across the Ballroom towards Blogger’s Lounge.
If you want to know if we have hope for the next generation, as Hannity says, let not your heart be troubled.
This young man gets it! Check out his book.

Was the book really that good? I’m not going to touch on ideology because I haven’t read the book, but I hear the book was just extremely poor in it’s writing. I think the Conservative Movement should focus less on amazement (“WOW! He’s just 14!”) and more on communication ability.
From the reviews I’ve heard of the book, it was rambling, more rhetoric than fact (I can accept rhetoric in a speech, but a book should be more fact based), and not good of a read. But he’s 14, so it’s OK, right?
I’ve found that kid writers get a lot of slack even though their books are terrible. Some examples that come to mind are “Defining Conservatism”, “Eragon” which was some mushy pop-culture fused disaster of a book by a 15 year old.
