We are about to find out if the oft-stated aphorism is true:  The worse the weather, the better the GOP does.  I understand the weather in Norfolk tomorrow will be a low of about 15 degrees and a high (high!) of 24!  Might be icy spots although the sky will be clear.

Because there is a special election (there is also one in Roanoke where Sandy has endorsed the Republican [See, he knows how to do it!]) in Hampton Roads that will decide control of the General Assembly and now that Terry McAuliffe is going to be Governor McAuliffe, and that the tie-breaker in the Senate is former state senator Ralph Northam (the reason for this special election) this is a decent chance for the GOP to check the power of the new governor.

Hence the blog endorses the Republican in this special election:  Wayne Coleman.  Here is his website.  I agree he is not perfect (I would prefer he would say he supports keeping the Bay clean but not at the expense of personal property rights; there has to be a balance), but he may be the best we got under the circumstances.

UPDATE:  I messed up the name on the initial title.  Sorry for the brain lapse!
