I got this email from Del. Chris Peace and although we have not always agreed lately (the judges should be fully funded and prescription drugs ought to be available online for state reimbursement), I do agree: The budget needs to be signed.

Pass the budget, Terry!
I now (along with thousands of others) got a similar email from Del. Rob Bell:
Today the General Assembly adjourned the 2014 Regular Session, but it did so without agreeing to a state budget.
It is clear that the we could reach agreement on all outstanding issues, except for one – Obamacare Medicaid expansion.Normally, this wouldn’t matter, because we would simply settle everything else and then take up the proposed expansion separately, perhaps in a special session. But Governor Terry McAuliffe and Senate Democrats are demanding that we pass Obamacare Medicaid expansion before they will agree to pass any budget. In effect they are holding everything else in the budget hostage – sheriff’s deputies, mental health reform, schools, roads, state universities — until they get their way on this one issue. This is wrong. I oppose Obamacare Medicaid expansion and I oppose this tactic.
