Poor Timmy Kaine Still Out Of Touch – Does Not Understand Utah

Former Richmond Mayor turned Virginia Governor and now Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine still does not understand the conservative trend happening in America.

After a resounding thumping in the Gubernatorial elections in Virginia last year, most people in his position would have seen the writing on the wall. Not Tim Kaine. Governor Bob McDonnell ran one of the most Conservative campaigns in a long time. The Democratic Party tried to use his Conservatism to paint McDonnell as a far right wing radical. The Democrats attempted to portray Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli as an even more radical right winger. Both won by large margins.

Tim Kaine failed to get the message when Conservative Chris Christie became Governor of New Jersey and when the Ted Kennedy senate seat moved into Republican hands.

Still, Tim Kaine believes the liberal message still resonates around the country as polls indicate a massive loss of Democratic seats in store for this fall.

Groups around the country like the Richmond Tea Party have been sounding the wake up call for Americans to shun this rapid move to the left the Democrats have plotted. And the message rings loud and clear. During the 2009 Virginia election cycle, many of the Tea Party participants became active in the Republican Party all over Virginia. This grassroots push is what led the first domino to fall as Republicans swept Virginia.

Around the country, Conservatives are working on two fronts. To right the GOP ship that has lost it’s way, and to elect Conservatives to office.

Those who believe that the Tea Party movement is a far right wing political party are totally off the mark. And to the dismay of those on the left, the Tea Party is not a wing of the Republican Party. Attempts to categorize or define the Tea Party by those on the left usually leave Tea Party participants quite amused.

Tim Kaine is no exception. After failing to comprehend the reasons for the Democrat’s losses in his home state of Virginia as well as New Jersey and Massachusetts, Kaine continues to misread the voter shift to the right in Utah.

On Saturday, incumbent Republican Senator Bob Bennett, seeking his 4th term, was ousted in a Republican convention for his track record supporting bailouts, mandated health care and a host of RINO (Republican in Name Only) sins.

Tim Kaine’s response shows his lack of understanding:

“Today the Tea Party strengthened its hold on the Republican Party by ousting Utah’s Senator Bob Bennett from the primary. That the Tea Party would consider Bob Bennett – one of the most conservative members of the U.S. Senate – too liberal, just goes to show how extreme the Tea Party is. This is just the latest battle in the corrosive Republican intra-party civil war that has resulted in the Tea Party devouring two Republicans in just as many weeks. If there was any question before, there should now be no doubt that the Republican leadership has handed the reigns to the Tea Party.”

What Kaine fails to realize is that the Tea Party has neither “taken over” the Republican Party in Utah, nor has the Republican Party “handed over the reigns” to the Tea Party.

What the Tea Party movement has done is shift the direction of the country to the right, energize the (formerly) silent majority and influence the Republican Party from within and from without to force the Republicans to run good, solid Conservatives who will put this country back on the track of limited government and personal responsibility.

Utah’s Convention was not a shot across the bow of the Democratic Party. Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts accomplished that. The Utah Convention is a shot across the bow of Republican RINO’s – especially incumbents.

RINO’s are officially on the endangered species list.

I honestly am going to wonder what the spin out of the Democratic and Republican camps is going to be when Charlie Crist wins in Florida come November. I think it will be quite amusing on both sides of that spin session.

Don’t rock the boat i think Tim Kaine is doing a great job.

Nothing is more conservative than a republican wanting to get their majority back. And nothing is more liberal than a republican WITH a majority.
