Chafin wins Puckett seat; Republicans hold Virginia Senate

Republicans take control of Virginia Senate, 21-19 over Democrats. Both houses of the Virginia General Assembly are now solidly in the red category.

CONGRATULATIONS! Thanks to all the hard work of the conservative grassroots activists in Southwest Virginia and from across the state, we now have a 21 member Republican majority in the Virginia Senate that will hopefully hold Terry McAuliffe and Mark Herring accountable for the next three years!

Victory–YEE–HAA !! “Let’s hope they hold McAuliffe in check” ??? Since when has that stopped anyone from anything ? We had a Republican Governor, republicans controlled the House, and had a tie in the Senate and we got just what …….

Once again the central point made the other day in Mike Gierre piece is being missed. How do we hold them to account ?

Anyone remember 2010 ? 80 new seats , republicans in control of the U.S. House, 300 billion in promised FY2011 spending cuts….and we got what ……..

Winning is meaningless as Mike pointed out if you have no plan and are not bold. Is this mentality yet another example of winning , simply having an R next to a name the goal, or is getting something meaningful done the goal ?

Why did no one stop the McDonnell radical agenda? Why did no one stop the Speaker Howell radical agenda? Why did no one stop the Safari Sen. Norment radical agenda?

If $21 Billion dollars in budget increases in just 4 years is not a radical agenda, coupled with a tax increase called HB 2313, the largest tax increase on the middle class in history is not a radical agenda, then what is? All this in what amounts to a zero growth economy.

Now, we have a Governor who is actually a successful business man, calling for massive cuts (12%) to the Republicans latest pork barrel, screw the middle class, in your face $11 Billion increase of just a few months ago. The inks not even dry on the latest Republican spending to finance a bigger Republican government.

Words have yet to be created that can describe the Republican Party’s hatred of the middle-class, and their irresponsible, dishonest, juvenile, wasteful, mismanagement of tax payer assets.

When you pray for McDonnell, please be sure to thank The Lord for giving us Gov. McAuliffe!
