Yes, I am for the so-called Bonita Bill (HB1430) and there will be a rally at the Bell Tower (I plan to be there!) at 330 with the committee vote at 5 pm. Here’s a notice from VA Campaign for Liberty quoted by the Williamsburg Tea Party:
The bill is scheduled to be heard by the House Agriculture, Chesapeake and Resources Committee has sent the bill to the sub-committee on Agriculture on Monday at 5:00 p.m. in the 5th Floor East Conference Room.
I also support Delegate Bell’s Tebow bill (HB 1442) that will allow homeschooled kids to play school sports, just as Tim Tebow did. Here’s some details:
Dear Homeschooling friend:
Please note that the Tebow Bill will be heard before the House Education Committee at 8:30am on Monday, January 28th in House Room C in the General Assembly Building. This is a change in time.
I hope you and your kids will still come show your support! Please find directions to the General Assembly Building and information about visiting the Capitol here.
I also strongly encourage you to contact your delegates and senators to let them know your support. You can find your legislator here.
I’d like to see a lot of homeschoolers at this meeting.
Sandy, so what happened to your appellate defender bill? I heard it got killed? Yes it did. I am awaiting some word on this before I blog about it. Trust me. I plan (Lord willing!) to be back with that bill next year if I find/keep a sponsor in both houses.
