It’s no wonder that two GOP members of the Roanoke County board of supervisors voted for ICLEI with stuff like this in the leading Roanoke “newspaper”!  An editorial that again shows they refuse to check or look into the facts on ICLEI and Agenda 21:

Fortunately, Roanoke County supervisors voted for reason and facts over hysteria and misinformation Tuesday. But it was close.

There’s more:

Real, as in rejecting the fantastic notion that ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability USA is a one-world, U.N.-directed conspiracy of global domination determined to control local land-use decisions and destroy private property rights. Opposition to ICLEI in communities across the nation is riding a wave of irrational public fear that board Chairman Richard Flora aptly compared Tuesday to the McCarthyism of the 1940s and ’50s.

First, it is not a conspiracy theory.  ICLEI implements Agenda 21 which is a threat to our liberty and sovereignty.  It also is an unconstitutional federation of international cities and towns with a foreign policy and political goals.  Roanoke County cannot have a foreign policy.  ICLEI membership is a decision to be a partaker in their foreign policy ideology.  Also it is unfair and inaccurate to compare fighting ICLEI and Agenda 21 with the ugly smears of Sen. Joe McCarthy. The Roanoke Times takes ICLEI’s word (through a county staff report) for everything:

Did they (the two who voted against ICLEI) not believe or did they not choose to hear that, “As a private nonprofit organization, ICLEI USA has no method to compel any change in county land use policy; that power is restricted to the board. … [All] actions taken by the local government and its citizens are entirely voluntary.”

There is clear support for the proposition that:  ICLEI implements Agenda 21, has a partnership with UN agencies such as the UNEF and UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments), has political goals, represents local governments at international climate conferences, and conducts a foreign policy?  It is Agenda 21, that ICLEI implements, that supports such liberty and sovereignty killing treaties as the UN Child Treaty and CEDAW.  Am I wrong, Roanoke Times? Show me I am wrong.  Don’t bother to quote me a self-serving letter from a ICLEI leader.  That and similar ICLEI pronouncements has been shown to be less than candid in James City County and in other places.

No, the Roanoke Times has been derelict or negligent in researching and investigating ICLEI and Agenda 21.  I recommend that all liberty and sovereignty activists in the Roanoke area to cancel their subscription.  I also think a public forum or debate might be in order.  While I defend the right of the Roanoke Times to print whatever they want about ICLEI, the people of Roanoke deserve better than the propaganda from the Roanoke Times.

Spent 6 hours Sat listening to Tom Deweese and others speak on the EVILS of Agenda 21/Sustainable Development and ICLEI. It really is pure Global Government disguised as local control. It is "Soviet" as defined. If you want to find out who to vote for, ask their position on this matter. Wake up Roanoke, please. The NWO is REAL and when they come for you, there will be "no one left to stand for YOU".
