Romney Releases New TV Ad, ‘Richmond Times-Dispatch on Welfare Reform’

It looks like the Richmond Times-Dispatch weighing in on Obama’s efforts to gut welfare reform signed into law by former President Bill Clinton caught the eye of the Mitt Romney team.

While Obama supporters are trying to deny the facts and do their usual “out of context” spin and lies, Mitt Romney is telling the public the truth. The fact is, Obama hated the work requirement when the bill was passed and he still hates it.

Only today, when welfare workers run out of benefits and are forced to work a while before they can collect more, that means they actually have to look for work. And of course that means that the unemployment numbers will rise.

As long as welfare recipients stay out of the work force and just shut up and take a government check, they don’t have to be counted under the current rules for counting people out of work. So Obama is essentially hiding a large segment of the population from the Unemployment numbers. That is why the number is 8.3% instead of the true number which is around 15%.

Check out this new TV ad that will start running today.
