Senate Candidate Dunnavant (VA-12) DENIES McEachin’s Story Says Janis and McEachin Working Together Against Her.

Dear lord. This is better than a Soap Opera. If you don’t listen to the John Fredericks radio show, you missed it.

Yesterday VaRight! wrote about a story where State Senator Donald McEachin claimed that Republican Candidate for the 12th Senatorial District Siobhan Stolle Dunnavant met with Don along with Democratic Senator Dick Saslaw and a third unnamed Democrat Senator. According to McEachin, Dunnavant was exploring a possible run in the 12th as a Democrat. McEachin claims that they discussed Dunnavant’s support for expanding Medicaid under the Marketplace Virginia rouse hammered together by several liberal state senators to expand Medicaid. Pretty much lipstick on a pig. So while Dunnavant supported a Medicaid expansion, she was pro life (according to McEachin). Don said they could live with that.

Dunnavant appeared on the John Fredericks show this morning and admitted she attended the meeting, but said it was a “courtesy” to the Democrats, not, as McEachin put it a “nomination seeking” meeting. She had no answer when asked by Fredericks why she would even have a courtesy meeting other than to say her brother and Va Beach sheriff Ken Stolle set it up.

But Dunnavant denied ever seeking the Democratic nomination, denied McEachin’s assertion that they even discussed committee assignments should she win.

But when asked by Fredericks if McEachin was lying, she refused to say that, saying he was mistaken.

And then she said the real story is that fellow candidate for the Republican nomination Bill Janis was working with Donald McEachin to torpedo her candidacy. And that was the story that should be reported.

Dunnavant also said that retiring Senator Walter Stosch had asked her to run. Stosch, you may recall, was a strong proponent of expanding Medicaid (and tax hikes over his career).

And the dust has not settled in this soap opera yet, and John Fredericks promised to get to the bottom of it.

(Cue the violins)

Is Donald McEachin lying about the subject of the meeting?

Will Dick Saslaw or the mysterious and yet unnamed third Democratic state senator confirm McEachin’s account? Or will they back Dunnavant?

Is Dunnavant falsely accusing Bill Janis of working with Donald McEachin? Or will either party admit an alliance.

And if there is an alliance between Janis and McEachin, would Republican Primary voters shun Janis?

Would Walter Stosch hand pick and endorse Dunnavant if she were not as squishy as Stosch has been?

All I can say is I’ll be tuning in to John Frederick’s show to find the answers to these and other important questions!

This saga has more twists and turns than an establishment Republican cover story.

Knowing Bull Janis like I do, I may have to side with the good doctor. I may not agree with Sen. Stosch on all his policy issues, but I certainly have a MUCH higher degree of respect for his word than anything Bill says. I know for a FACT Janis has told untruths.

Of course Walter Stosch asked Dr. Stolle -Dunnavant to run for his seat. It’s his GIFT to the Lobbyists. All the millions they poured into Stosch all those years- they needed their investments protected.
I believe McEachin when he said Stolle set the exploratory meeting to seek advice on her running as a Democrat- MEDICAID WAS THE TOPIC AND THE ISSUE- THE COMMON DENOMINATOR FOR STOSCH, THE DEMOCRATS, AND STOLLE DUNNAVANT.

Walter Stosch ( R- Henrico) and John Watkins ( R-Powhatan) and Stolle R- Va Beach) have run the General Assembly for years- Taxing and Spending VIRGINIA into its current Debt.

Stosch and Watkins supported Medicaid Expansion. Stosch is a “Bean Counter” He wanted the Federal Money from ObamaCare. It was only until the conservatives hammered the GA on the cost- 1 in 10 Virginians is already on Medicaid and Medicaid is the largest expense in the budget- and that VA couldn’t pay for the expansion without tax increases that the legislators defeated the measure.

Don’t think for a minute that with a significant portion of Dr. Stolle-Dunnavant’s campaign funding coming from the medicaid expansion lobby that she won’t be for it. That is why Stosch has endorsed her- payback to his healthcare lobbyists who lined his coffers.

If you don’t think Stolle Dunnavant will be a Crook in the General Assembly- investigate her family in VA Beach where a Stolle is the Sheriff, a Stolle is the Commonwealth’s Attorney, and a Stolle is the representative in the GA. The Canteens in the Jail are a very profitable enterprise.

No conflicts there. If you vote- you want to run as far away from this CONFLICT as you can.

But SHE says “I’m not a politician, I’m a Doctor.”

I hate lawyers but my entire family has a law degree and feeds at the taxpayers’ trough- all politicians.

She’s a real piece of Work- that one.

Virginia’s General Assembly doesn’t need another Liar.

  4. Astonished says:

    Wait…let me get this straight.

VA Right, a website featuring conservative views and a “right leaning morality,” is taking Dem Senators McEachin and Saslaw at their word!?

This just sounds like dirty politics to me. Would not put it past Ray Allen / Janis to spread a rumor like this.

Strange, right? Like Speaker Howell pointing to the far left wing activist Attorney General Herring to prove his absentee ballot scam is legal. Keep in mind that there were 3 in the room with her.

  5. William Roxbury says:

    Dear Astonished:

You must be new to VA Right-

VA Right covered the Benedict Arnold defections in 2013 of Boyd Marcus ( formerly of Ray Allen and Boyd Marcus- consultants to the GOP and RPV and Eric ivan the Terrible Cantor) to help Governor Terry McAuliffe win over Cuccinelli ( R).

Guess who also went over to McAuliffe? none other than former Lt. Governor ( R) Bill Bolling.
