Both the Weekly Standard (which I do not fully trust) and the Wall Street Journal (which I trust more) have called for a biometric ID card for ALL US workers to prove they have legal status. Here’s the Weekly Standard’s quoting the WSJ:
The Journal writes that “at least five of the eight senators writing the [immigration] bill”— Graham, Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.), John McCain (R., Ariz.), Dick Durbin (D., Ill.), and Jeff Flake (R., Ariz.) — “have backed biometric ID cards in the past.” What’s more, Graham, Schumer, and McCain “have said they support requiring the cards under the new law.”
The government-issued biometric cards would use fingerprints, scans of the veins on the top of a person’s hand, or other personal markers, and every American citizen would be required to produce his or her card to prove eligibility for work.
So, it is possible that we all would have to have to work in this country a scan of the veins on the top of a person’s hand combined with an ID card. I think I’d rather have illegals. I have made it clear: This is a type of the Mark of the Beast mentioned in Revelation:
“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13: 16-17 (KJV)
Two points here: First, if you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the time is short! Of course no one has any promise of any more moments of life here on earth. But also I beseech you to consider how John in the First Century could have known about biometric ID systems. Either he is a visionary or futurist of the first water, greater than Albert Einstein or Alvin/Heidi Toffler, or he got a revelation from God. If a revelation from God, time to repent and believe the Gospel. Here’s how!
Second, why should the law-abiding have to be penalized and inconvenienced to cure illegal immigration? Why should working Americans be forced to get this privacy-threatening ID card? Why not just enforce the laws and secure the border? Senator Graham reportedly has the answer (Americans should simply consider it their patriotic duty to give up their liberty):
Mr. Graham, in an interview, said that in his mind the language refers to a requirement for biometric ID cards. “This is the public’s way of contributing to solving the problem” of illegal immigration, Mr. Graham said.
Just like the pig would refuse the sausage factory, all followers of Jesus Christ need to vote against these senators if the turn up in a polling place near you. Sen. Graham wants to send your sons and daughters to fight in places like Syria. When they come back, they can be fitted up with a Mark of the Beast ID Card! I wrote once that I was done with Graham. This was it – I could not support him until he renounces the Mark of the Beast ID card. I can’t wait until a believer in Jesus resident in South Carolina respectfully confronts Senator Graham and asks him: Why do you want the Mark of the Beast brought to the USA? Send me the video and I’ll put it up on this blog.
