Shak Hill – Reject Dirty Politics “I am concerned for our party.”

It’s time we all work in “unity” to bring character and principles back to the Republican Party in Virginia.

Shak Hill – Reject Dirty Politics

My friends, I am concerned for our party.

Recent weeks have seen actions by the establishment Republicans I did not think I would see again in my lifetime.

This week, establishment Republicans slated in Virginia Beach, denying hundreds of duly filed delegates the right to vote.

Also this week, Charlotte County saw its chair literally rip up 20 pre-file forms that were hand-delivered to him, because he was afraid of those conservatives being able to vote.

We are hearing rumors now of slating plans being hatched by the establishment in Henrico, City of Richmond, City of Portsmouth, and other places. All to prevent conservatives from exercising their constitutional right to vote.

This is outrageous! What is this, Soviet Russia?

And it is these very establishment hacks that cry foul that the convention excludes voters, who are doing their very own exclusion. Well, which way is it going to be? Hopefully not politics as usual!

These actions have no place in 21st century Virginia.

Make no mistake, fellow conservatives: every establishment candidate that gets elected strengthens their efforts to exclude conservatives.

Every one, including in this US Senate race.

But I am a conservative – principle above party – and I reject these efforts to exclude conservatives from exercising their right to vote!

I call on all the candidates for U.S. Senate to reject these underhanded exclusionary tactics, and I call on Pat Mullins and the State Central Committee to invalidate these efforts.

Excluding conservatives is NOT how you grow a party. How do you expect to win without those committed volunteers who knock doors? How do we expect to reach young people without libertarians? How do we mobilize churchgoing values voters without social conservatives? How do we win without the energy of the TEA Party?

We don’t win without conservatives, folks. Flat-out.

That’s why I need your help today.

I am battling one of those “DC knows best” establishment Republicans for the nomination for US Senate. If I win the nomination, I will make sure our party stays true to our conservative principles, using them to expand the base of our party and showing Virginia what real conservative leadership can do.

Take a stand against slating and other means the establishment is using to exclude conservatives.

This is a fight for the soul of our party, friends. I suspect you know by now, I will be a leading voice in that fight- all the way.

For God and Country,

Shak Hill
