SO what sort of OATH do pro-EU leaders in BRITAIN TAKE? THIS is OUTRAGEOUS from LibDem CABINET MEMBER VINCE CABLE (and the Deputy PM NICK CLEGG!)

I read stuff like this with unbelief.  Here is a British Cabinet Secretary (Business Secretary Vince Cable) saying this about the EU and Britain:

Ukip voters and Conservative Eurosceptics are making it more likely that the people of Scotland will vote to leave the UK, Vince Cable will say.

The Business Secretary will use a speech at the Liberal Democrat spring conference to attack people engaging in “British nationalism and Euro-separatism”.

He will accuse Ukip supporters and members of Conservative Party pushing for Britain to leave the EU of “putting at risk the union of the UK”.

“And let me say this to Ukip and so-called Eurosceptics in the Tory party,” Mr Cable will tell the conference.

“You are also putting at risk the union of the UK. How on Earth do you expect to persuade the Scots to ignore the siren voices of nationalism and separatism when you indulge in British nationalism and Euro-separatism?”

Come again, Secretary Cable?  British nationalism is somehow bad?  That if you are a good UK citizen who believes that your nation ought to be separate from the EU superempire, that wants to be the United States of Europe, you are putting the Union itself at risk?  By the way, if Scotland automatically leaves the EU when it votes for independence, that is the BEST reason to vote for independence!

Try this from Deputy PM Nick Clegg:

Taking a swipe at both his Tory coalition colleagues and Labour over the EU, Mr Clegg said: “The two main parties in this country no longer have anything meaningful to say about Europe.

“Labour seems to be enjoying sitting on its hands and in a rather cowardly manner failing to make the internationalist case at all.

Making an internationalist case?  For what?  Clegg is determined to take the “I’m in the EU” stand, even after it’s intentions are clear:  A super empire not answerable to the consent of the governed – where UK law is subsumed to Brussels!

So I must ask, since I am over here in the colonies, the First Colony to be exact, what oath did they swear to when Cable and Clegg took office?  Well, I actually found an oath!  Here is the Privy Councilors Oath that is traditionally taken by a British Cabinet Minister (emphasis added by me):

“You do swear by Almighty God to be a true and faithful Servant unto The Queen’s Majesty as one of Her Majesty’s Privy Council. You will not know or understand of any manner of thing to be attempted, done or spoken against Her Majesty’s Person, Honour, Crown or Dignity Royal, but you will lett and withstand the same to the uttermost of your power, and either cause it to be revealed to Her Majesty Herself, or to such of Her Privy Council as shall advertise Her Majesty of the same. You will in all things to be moved, treated and debated in Council, faithfully and truly declare your Mind and Opinion, according to your Heart and Conscience; and will keep secret all matters committed and revealed unto you, or that shall be treated of secretly in Council. And if any of the said Treaties or Counsels shall touch any of the Counsellors you will not reveal it unto him but will keep the same until such time as, by the consent of Her Majesty or of the Council, Publication shall be made thereof. You will to your uttermost bear Faith and Allegiance to the Queen’s Majesty; and will assist and defend all civil and temporal Jurisdictions, Pre-eminences, and Authorities, granted to Her Majesty and annexed to the Crown by Acts of Parliament, or otherwise, against all Foreign Princes, Persons, Prelates, States, or Potentates. And generally in all things you will do as a faithful and true Servant ought to do to Her Majesty so help you God.”

I cannot verify absolutely that these particular two UK leaders did take that exact oath but it was have to do!

I would say for me and me alone:  If I were a British Cabinet Minister, I could not remain in office with a good conscience and continue to support the EU superstate that they intend to become a United States of Europe.  A superempire!  For me, it would be sin to support of the EU consistent with “assist and defend all…Acts of Parliament, or otherwise, against all Foreign Princes, Persons, Prelates, States or Potentates”?  Jesus once said you cannot serve two masters, referring to God and money, but it is true of divided loyalties among nations.  If you cannot serve God and money, then no British (or any other EU nation) politician can serve both the EU and Britain.
