I have long said I would never give a dime to the USOC or the IOC due to the pro athletes in the Olympic Games.

BUT I never said, do not support sports or Olympic sports – just find a sport or Olympic hopeful to support and DIRECTLY give to them!

Here’s a chance to do exactly that:  You can go to the USA Curling website and give money to the future of curling and the USOC will match the money up to $50,000!

I would like to thank Leland Rich from Alaska for the letter and the idea to spread the word.  (Remember I do not speak for the Curling Club of VA!)  Here is what USA Curling wants to do with the money:

New training and instruction programs so clubs CAN KEEP new curlers

Expanded ice making courses to maintain and improve your local ice

Funding and training for our Olympic hopefuls in 2014 win a medal!

More media exposure for curling

Expansion of Project 2018 – training up-and-coming curlers – who knows maybe one or more from the Old Dominion!

Upgrade of the USCA website, US Curling News and a new mobile app!
